Is this Jim Morrison Autograph legit?

Music Memorabilia:Autographs and Signed Items, Doors - Jim Morrison Signed Band Photo. ... Image #2This is offered by a major auction company. What do you think? It looks pretty good to me overall but I am always very cautious. It almost looks too good for being 40+ years old on a large paper photo.

I saw this one too and it doesn't look authentic to me. The first "o" and "son" portion in particular look off to me.

The other thing concerning me is it does not come with any third party authentication while many of the other items do. I have mixed feelings about TPAs but a TPA blessing does add value. At a minimum, they will often have a letter showing provenance.

Agreed. The same auction house recently listed a Doors forgery that was pulled prior to the start of the auction.

There's so much about this signature that looks unusual to me. I'd love to see the exemplars used to authenticate it.
