I dont have a ton of hope for this one seeing as it's a few hundred bucks and I figure Jim would go for more since his hand seems to be rare. I've tried to find examples of his signature but again, there doesn't seem to be much out there. Any idea what Jim would normally bring in? Is he really that rare or am I just looking in the wrong places? I once heard that he was a very generous signer but then again, he wasnt around very long..

Don't know enough on Croce's signature to know. Here is one I found recently. Would like to about it as well. Jim was one of my favorites.

I would avoid that one, Joe. I haven't seen anything authentic from that seller.

Thanks, Ballroom.

Yeah, Jim Croce was a great singer and wrote incredible songs.  Whenever I hear Bad, Bad Leroy Brown or Time in a Bottle, it takes me back to the early-70s and elementary school.  I still remember going out and buying those two on 45s and others I’m sure.  But I remember really wanting those two songs.  I think I was like 10 when Time in a Bottle came out and at a young age thinking it was a beautiful song.  What a loss not only to his family but to the human race.  I believe his wife said Jim was the type of guy who would do almost anything to help someone in need.

Here's the one in the OP prior to framing. Apparently it sold on eBay in March of 2016 as a signed backstage pass. It's described in the current eBay auction as being a signed paper or "tag that might have been attached to a gift." The seller claims that it was purchased years ago from a collector, and that it includes an LOA from Roger (not pictured).

Outstanding detective work, Ballroom!

Don't know what a Croce autograph should look like but if this one is authentic, the price seems reasonable.

Thanks, Joe. This appears to be a genuine one from September of '72:

That sure looks a lot different than the OP. Didn't notice the one you posted listed on eBay currently. Yours?

It's on eBay with a BIN price of $3,000.

I see it now. 3K! Better pass.....

Here's one from another discussion that's on the same Mill Run Theatre program from September of '72.
