Not a lot of doubt there! Nice to see an example from your collection Ballroom. I don't recall you posting items from your collection before - though I'm sure you must have.
Glad you like it. I think I’ve posted it before. The OP does look good aside from it being unusual to not see the dot over the first “I”.
I noticed that missing dot too but it is obviously real.
The provenance letter is probably a little embellished - I doubt that Jimi was driven to the show in a limo - but that is also hardly surprising.
By the way Ballroom, I just posted an Antiques Roadshow video clip that shows an autograph that is very similar to yours and the OP - signed in November 1967 I think.
I got a quick opinion from Roger, expecting a thumbs up, but he didn't like it 🤷♂️
I'm amazed at that. Perhaps the lack of a dotted i or the dots within the ink (which are unusual for Jimi I think) are troubling him.
I'm still looking at it. It is likely one I'd pass up but for different reasons or additional reasons than those Eva mentioned. It is likely overt caution due to the name.
The OP made GBP 1,750 before premiums. The market has spoken but I'm not sure exactly what it said. Seems like a "sitting on the fence" kind of result.
