Joe DiMaggio with Inscription Real or Fake?

Was given to me by my grandfather who had a friend that knew Joe.  No idea if this is legit or not.

Joey,

Chris and Steve are among our top members on post-1950 baseball. You can depend on their opinions. 

I am not in their class, so I didn't give my opinion, but I saw it when you posted it and it looked fantastic to me. If you love baseball, treasure this, frame it, and hand it down to your kids.

It's not a high-value piece, a few hundred dollars or so. But you could not ask for a better example from the period.

A nicely written inscription from DiMaggio is not easy to find.  He was not the nicest person and you would definitely find one from an older signature, probably not from anything later in his life.
