This is odd. I just mentioned while watching this video that "that is useful - someone can use that" re the video, which I always took to be from the mid 70's and added to the WTW video. The OP is very shaky, hesitant/slow and uncertain.

That's not an "H".....that is the "L" in Lennon. As in "J Lennon".

I still don't like it!!! The video of Lennon signing his name and drawing his caricature is from the summer of 1979 in Japan. Like I said...it looks slowly drawn...IMO.

Yes, he had a beard in Japan correct? I thought it was a bit earlier. Sig is no good in either event IMO.

He also had a beard at Cold Spring Harbor for Thanksgiving 1979...and a beard in early 1980.I still think it's crap. Someone mentioned a "Fake" COA? May I remind folks that for a while there were fake COA'S floating around with Frank Caiazzo's name on them....

Hey Folks...Check this out .From a Lennon lithograph from 1988 called"The Family". (It's mine". Compare the 2......what do you think? Someone tried to make a copy? The drawing was made in 1979....

John was a decent draughtsman - the "beard" in the OP just floats there - the beard in Jim's image is anchored.

Wow - personally the OP item looks quite bad to me, shaky no flow just down right awful / Even if it had a FC - COA I’d say the same things. The other one that sold with no COA is not much better IMO.

I think you're right about the second one. It's more natural and has more Lennon characteristics, especially in the signature, but I'm not comfortable with it. I wasn't sure about it this morning, but I didn't take the time to go over it that I should have before I used it as an example.

It would be hard to imagine that Roger would have authenticated the OP. It’s so obvious that the whole thing, the writing, the autograph, and the sketch, are all so slowly drawn.

This thing is on Ebay...#401834275267. The seller is from Germany...and say that his mother got this...he says this should be real...but he lists it as a reproduction! Figure that one out!! Then he lists Frank...Perry Cox...Epperson...Richard Burton...PSA...JSA...Beckett....Ringo...Help......Let It Be...etc.Check it out....Surreal...

Not only this one but the two Beatles sets we are also looking at - same seller, same description, same crap!!! For safety listed as a reproduction but should be real !!!!! Now that’s a new angle.
