JSA Authenticated Beatles “Signed” Album Page. How Could This Happen?

Is this not a Joe Long forgery? It’s currently on eBay at a starting bid of $25,000.

Yep.  Besides getting rid of the EMR Team, they made the change to hide the Ebay ID's of winning bidders.

Both of the aforementioned were implemented after Ebay realized how much money they were losing from the sales of forgeries.

How was Ebay losing money from the sale of forgeries?

Andrew, Ebay had an EMR Team that would report forgeries to Ebay; Ebay would then remove the listings.

Ebay disbanded the team when they realized just how much money they were losing from the sales of forgeries.

Also, people would contact winning bidders to inform them that they purchased a forgery and in turn the winning bidder would cancel the sale.

Here's an example;  check out the below Ebay link to Sold Auctions.

The majority of them that sold are forgeries.

I see what you meant by that. Thanks

That may have been one reason why Ebay got rid of showing usernames, but the main reason was too many scammers were contacting the second or third bidder and sending phony 'second chance offers', claiming the winning bidder had backed out. A losing bidder then pays to a paypal account off Ebay and is had. While some users were saved by being contacted by another Ebay user, many were scammed.

The buyer left positive feedback. Ouch. They could have purchased a nice authentic set for that amount.

Yikes, that's quite sad to see...

Is their anyway to notify the buyer to let him know so he can maybe get his money back. Ebay should have never let this happen. I know for a fact that they where notified about it from more than one person.

Unfortunately, I’m not aware of any way that you can contact the buyer. The fact that it was authenticated by JSA probably overruled the complaints they received.

YIKES!  Well, at least I'm in good company! 🤣

Thanks!

Here's another Joe Long...
