Magician HARRY HOUDINI (who died in 1926) signs an autograph album page printed in 1945!

....and PSA/DNA approves it and encapsulates it.

The 40s era swing band + bobbysoxer artwork on the album page should have been the first clue.

Here's another example of the page Houdini allegedly "signed" in the 1940's and a sample of the copyright page of the album that was used to create the now PSA'd signature.

Artwork screams. PSA fails again.

This is actually dreadful. I truly don't think they care anymore.

No returns accepted:

Perhaps the authenticator is a huge fan of Houdini and thinks he could have pulled that off. 😊

lol. We will never know.

Their authentication methodologies are more mysterious than any of Houdini's illusions.

I still think it involves a green curtain, a smoke machine and a "wizard"...

One thing we do know is it doesn't involve Google image search!

Why bother? Unlike Houdini, they don’t get hurt if something goes wrong.

But they do - right now they look ridiculous.

That’s very true. I was thinking more financially.

Unfortunately, so are they.

Interestingly, Tamino sold one recently in this style with the atypical "signing" of the surname only.  Houdini typically inscribed and/or dated.

Complete with the same paraph.

This ink wasn't "aged" as well.

hmm, mysterious indeed....
