These signed calendar pages are part of a larger collection of Marilyn Monroe memorabilia I have obtained. What do you think of the signatures?

Having trouble uploading a photo, I have provided a link to the item.

Just for reference, these came from the John Springer collection, they have his stamp on the back, and the calendar is inscribed to Emeline Snively who worked with Monroe and ran a modeling agency.

Here it is.

Yup, thank you Chris! All opinions welcome.

I looked at these last night and the RR study. Something makes me nervous. Smooth but not smooth? Lot of ink? We need...Pauline!

Looking more at IP 1953-55 these might well be good. Pauline will know.

Yeah, a lot of the items we’ve been offered are from very early in Monroe’s career. Interested to see what Pauline and others think. Thanks for your input!

Hi Ryan,

I have messaged Pauline - hopefully she will chime in with her most valued opinion. I also hope she leaves a link to her online work - I regret not being able to find it.

Here is a link to a bunch of MM's:

MM @ Kuflik Collection

And here are some gen 1950's MM sigs from the RR study:

I see Miss Pauline is here! My final guess under the gun - I'd pass.

Actually just found out that these items are from the same dealer as one of the suppliers of the Ted Stamfper collection.

Hello All,

Sorry to say both of these are really suspect. Quite good forgeries though and on lovely sketches, early calendars.

The Emmeline Snively one (I can't imagine why Marilyn would have signed a calendar to her, seems odd). But it is the better of the two.

Back editing my previous post, I haven't spent a lot of time but both of these are not her hand in my opinion.

Here is my blog for 1946-62 autographs as a time line: http://marilynmonroeautographs.blogspot.co.nz

The hand on the topless sketch is a little like a secretarial but I doubt Fox would have sent out these, so I must conclude it is an attempt at defrauding someone as it is clearly trying to imitate her writing, as they both are. What a shame.

Hi Pauline,

Thank you so much for looking and giving your opinion!

Best wishes,

Eric

They are signed on the same calendar. Not sure if this information helps but the same dealer who sold me this has sold to the Stamfper collection who vouched for the dealers items.
