McCartney and Starr "Signed" Photo and Abbey Road LP from Probstein123 with PSA/DNA LOAs - Very surprising!

This is on eBay with a current bid of $820. Are these not "Southern California forgeries"?

Pathetic...

To quote John Lennon, "Here we go again." Here's another one that just appeared on eBay from PSA/DNA and probstein123:

Bad macca

Probstsein123 getting more suspicious

PSA getting more suspicious?

It's a shame because I contacted the seller and they ignored the info I provided and went ahead and listed another one. I would expect this one to sell for even more than the photo.

Well ya I guess the finger would be pointed at PSA and other TPA's in general.

But again it's also a problem with sellers including some auction houses taking little to no responsibility in rechecking their items listed.

But I also meant that I find the actions of Probstsein123 suspicious. Especially since he ignores responding to messages and keeps listing bad items. I don't follow him enough to make any account of the numbers but the red flag is raised for me.

Its making selling forgeries getting too easy these days. And putting much more intent on the buyer to study harder.

IMO

I don't really find it suspicious. They're good forgeries that have been authenticated by an eBay-approved TPA. It would require some effort to understand the issue, which would only lead to a potential loss of their commission.

I am more concerned about PSA. Since Steve Grad left for Beckett, it’s like they’re not even trying. All the COAs are signed by Joe Orlando, not even a music expert. Anyone who knows Beatles knows these are the SoCal forger.

Agreed. Ruling out a signature as being a SoCal forgery would seem to be one of the basics of Beatles autograph authentication.

PSA has been known to listen to reason (Sometimes). Perhaps if a number of people contacted them with their concerns about all these So. Cal forgeries they may start looking more closely at them before issuing COAs?

Bruce, I emailed PSA and have received only an automated response that they are unusually busy.

I think the forgers have found a good "stooge" in Probstein as he sells 1000's of items on consignment so they can use his good feedback to cover their tracks. Whoever Probstein is, I'm betting he doesn't care if the items are authentic as long as they have COAs and sell.
