It's been 30yrs since Braveheart was released, it was filmed in the town I live in, Trim in Co Meath, Ireland.

This year is a pretty big anniversary and Mel Gibson has finally accepted an invite to come, the organizers are selling posters for €55 (all profit to Irish actors guild), I've chosen to pick mine up at venue and get it signed when I'm there, they also do an option, for an extra €8 of them getting it signed for you and posting it.

Unsure of the other actors who are coming, all I know so far is Mel and yer man who played Robert the Bruce

I didn't receive an email nor any confirmation of shipping.  I did pay extra for shipping.  I have just emailed them to see where it's at.  Thanks all for the follow up.  I thought it was odd that I had not heard anything.

So by reading that I'm guessing these will only be signed by Mel, if they had to reprint them then the others would be long gone, or did I read it wrong?

Just received shipment. Had to sign for it. The tube was crushed and dented and my heart sank. Opened it and yep, both posters creased while rolled which means a crease every few inches. Even when shipped protected, postal services still find a way to screw it up.

The good.. these posters are numbered with a sticker on the back.

Sorry to hear. Once someone sent me a 100 year old unique photographic postcard in a simple thin envelope - it took me 10 years to flatten that card out. I wrote to the seller and said "...this card went a century w/o damage. Why didn't you just put a stamp on it and send it as is?" I got a full refund and apology.

Oh that's terrible. Glad you got it flattened out finally but 10 years? Wow.. that's always a fear buying anything of value on eBay from sellers who are clueless. I once had a small statue shipped in nothing but feathers. No joke. The weight of the statue was no match for the feathers and arrived in pieces. This was years ago. Thinking about it now, I hope they cut up a pillow or jacket. People don't usually have a bunch of feathers laying around to use for shipping.

In this case, I would have wanted a better tube but wouldn't say it's terrible. I can't show the extent of the damage on the tube here as it runs right thru my address. I'll share a picture of the end of the tube to give you guys an idea how they were shipped. I'll attempt to post a video of the damage as well. I can try to flatten it but some of this damage isn't going to come out. Hope this is just a fluke and everyone else gets these in better condition.

Here's the video link, edited speed and quality to fit the under 7mb requirement

Damaged Braveheart Poster.mp4

Guess we're all going to roll the dice on this one -- let's see if Canada Post is worth their salt.

EDIT: Just checked -- turns out it came safe and sound (was told by someone else at my property that the package arrived safe, without any dings or creases to the tube).

That's great news!! I'm jealous lol. These are something special

Never received my two posters

I received mine on Friday.  It was protected in the cardboard roll and is in great condition. My son's poster has not yet arrived.  It has a tracking number but can't be tracked on Australian system for some reason.  I am hopeful it will be delivered in next few days.

Hopefully, your poster is still making its way to you!

I never received mine or even a tracking number

I contacted them for a tracking number (then realised they don't work in Aust).
