"They are just an old 80's band"

You are missing something.

They have been consistently selling out large venues worldwide for a good 30-40 years. So they aren't your average 80's pop band that everyone forgot about. Even their last handful of albums, well past their prime have peaked around #5 in the US charts. I'd guess they probably do even better overseas.

Yeah, they are not just a New Wave band from the 80's. That's where they started but have been evolving and consistently releasing big hits since then. Their most sold albums are actually from the 90's and 2000's. Even their new single can easily find a place in a Greatest Hits record. They have fans from different generations and sell out stadiums across the world.

In other words, they are big.

However, I had no clue their signed album would be worth as much as £720+ on ebay.

I didn't understand why people thought these were too much money.

Same. The bundle was such that you were basically getting the autograph for free to 10 (not that anyone would likely buy a bundle with every format unless they're a completionist). I thought the price was fair for what you were getting.

I'm going to see DM here in LA next month. It's the only concert that I've not been able to buy a pair of seats during the primary sale, besides Taylor Swift. They are still extremely popular and pricing reflects that.

I can explain my rationale.

I don't care what color is the vinyl or the Cassette. In fact all I wanted was the signed artwork print. They only included it in an overpriced bundle with stuff I don't want. If I wanted the album in every possible format for a fairer price, I would simply wait a few weeks/months and buy them separately at lower price - they will come down by 50%+.

In retrospective, I should have bought it as this could have been the only possible way of obtaining a signed artwork print. I always assumed they would sign more and sell it with CDs. I'm starting to be afraid I was wrong, and they will top the charts without cheating like all the other big names.

For folks that are selling it on ebay, yep, it was very cheap indeed. They should have bought more.

Its very rare anyone makes the right call not many would have jumped in at £80 and bought multiples ,2 possibly but not more and if someone had filled their boots they would have the very next day released a cheaper cd and signed print bundle

Sods law wins almost every time

Let’s hope this is another drop of signed stuff today

Not that I can see any unfortunately

I don't think any of us wants a viny + CD + casette.  Like I said before, only the completionist wants that.  But I can understand why the autograph comes bundled with 1 of each format so that the band can try to top the charts.  I had to buy the CD and casette of Ozzy to get him from the online store.  It's a gimmick the bands are using to sell stuff.

Also, it looks like this morning was a false alarm.

Super false alarm. Garbage.

They announced more tour dates.

Interesting the forum went down when the countdown hit 0. This forum (and this thread in particular) must have hundreds/thousands of watchers.
