Michael Jackson drawings (Miscell inc. 'Historic portraits' and 'Disney characters')

I'm noticing a sudden influx of MJ signed Michael Jackson drawings coming on to the auction market, which seem to share the common themes of either 'portraits of historical figures'  or 'Disney characters'.

Both of these themes are of course recognised from Michaels' drawings both at a young age and later in life, but it is interesting that so many new drawings are being released on to the market at the same time.

Here are some current examples:

Glad to hear :)

Yeah :)

You also many thanx for the info and help you gave me into this matter!! Really appreciated!!

Tony

I'm so glad that you found the drawing here :)  It's really good to know that this is a useful resource for fans.                                                    By the way, do you know there is a book about Michael's art?  it was planned that art prints would be sold to fans to raise funds for a hospital.  It is only available in the German language (and Japanese), but the full-page pictures are excellent. (Sadly, the book is not Estate-'authorised' as the art ownership is under legal review).   MJ's doodles are not included...but they are a bit of a minefield as there are so many fake copies. The genuine art described by the book was created on special paper and so is impossible to fake.  https://www.amazon.de/Kunstwerke-von-Michael-Jackson-unbekannte/dp/...

Michael Jackson (d. 2009) Autographed 11x14 Self Sketch Artwork

 A couple of folk seem to be bidding on this green sketch from 'High End Memorabilia' of Gardena CA, on Live auctioneers: ($150 start).

Oddly this green sketch seems to be listed twice.  There was a previous listing for a red sketch which is no longer online (and I missed the  page link).

 Sadly these fake drawings do seem to stay in circulation.  A 'Simon Parrs' auctions' offering of a drawing of Charlie Chaplin's head - threequarters view - that was last recorded in this thread (p62 - photo in black frame)  from 5th June 2015, is now being offered by 'Affiliated Auctions' of Tallahassee, FL. (Est $250, starting at $60).

100% ORIGINAL Michael JACKSON Sketch of Charlie CHAPLIN W/AUTOGRAPH & COA

**RARE***RARE***RARE** One-of-a Kind Michael Jackson Collector Item!
This is a hand sketched drawing of legendary silent film actor, CHARLIE CHAPLIN, which was done by and Autographed by MICHAEL JACKSON, the King of Pop! Michael Jackson has been interviewed in the past and has spoken about his admiration of Charlie Chaplin so it's no secret that this would be one of his Hollywood favorites to sketch. And out of several we've seen, this is by far one of his best!
Measurements: Sketch is quite large, measuring 11 1/2 x 16 1/2. Michael Jackson's signature is also larger than normal, measuring 5" x 7."

 Bizarre doodle which appears to be a copy of an 'Erick', (Erick version appears (in blue pen) on p4 of the 'bluelifesaver' thread.)

The seller includes a photo of a 'Vaccaro' COA, and claims this drawing is from the Jackson family vault.  I don't recall seeing it at the time of the vault items sale.

Starts at 99cents on ebay.com. Seller pro-2a-solutions from Lafayette.  UK shipping is offered at a massive $65 for USPS Priority Intl.

AUTHENTIC MICHAEL JACKSON ORIGINAL SIGNED SELF-PORTRAIT HAND DRAWING 14.5" x 18"

Michael Jackson Hand Drawing 14x18 - Signed with LOA/COA from Henry Vaccaro
100% AUTHENTIC - GUARANTEED OR YOUR MONEY BACK
~~~ This piece was part of the Henry Vaccaro Collection - read below for more info ~~~
NO RESERVE
A collector friend of mine picked up several Michael Jackson items from an estate sale recently. This particular item is a drawing of what appears to be an abstract self-portrait of Michael Jackson.
It is drawn, signed and initialed by the King of Pop himself, and comes with excellent provenance from the collection of Henry Vaccaro - who was awarded the single largest collection of Michael Jackson owned memorabilia after suing the estate for money owed. It can easily be researched on the web and it has also been confirmed with the Vaccaro family that this letter is indeed authentic.
I have blacked out/watermarked a few portions of the letter for obvious reasons but can send images if you message me privately. The winner will receive the MJ drawing and the original LOA/COA.
MJ drawings have sold from 3k all the way up to tens of thousands of dollars.
Measure Approximately 14.5" x 18".
Will ship with an outer plastic protective cover rolled in a cardboard tube. Shipping price includes full insurance of the selling price.
Thanks so much Lizzie for clarifying this.  I actually texted Washer but my instinct told me no way this is real.  Thanks!
 The black ink drawing from pro-2a-solutions appears to be the same one that was sold by an online auctioneer on 27 Feb 14 for 3k usd.  It seems odd that it is now being sold on ebay with the following provenance : 'A collector friend of mine picked up several Michael Jackson items from an estate sale recently.'    I guess that current ebay bidders have found the previous online sale details.
The blue ink drawing used as a comparator (post above) was originally documented in the Erick thread in November 2014 and was obtained from a German MJ fan site, but the post there was undated.
To me, the drawing style of both the blue ink and black ink versions are very much 'Erick'.  I've put together  a compilation from other Erick drawings for comparison.
As to the Vaccaro letter, my understanding was that all of Michael's items (Including drawings and writing) were removed from the Vaccaro warehouse before the 2010 sale, and sold by Guernseys in Vegas, in 2007.     https://www.reuters.com/article/music-auction-jackson-dc/michael-ja...
100% an Erick piece, and was listed in Nate Sanders auction at one point in time (above view from Nate Sanders listing)
It was created at around the same time period that this one was imo (this was also in Nate Sanders auction - and bought by Richard Fossaas, who had it certified by PSA (barf) - and then he sold it - should also mention he was alerted it was a fake by many people in the MJ community - he sold it any way.)
Erick was on a roll around this time period creating a bunch of items.
 An 'MJ signed' fake drawing that I don't recall before, although the faked signature is very familiar: From seller deeglas of Ellesmere Port, on ebay UK, starting at £295
