Michael Jackson drawings (Miscell inc. 'Historic portraits' and 'Disney characters')

I'm noticing a sudden influx of MJ signed Michael Jackson drawings coming on to the auction market, which seem to share the common themes of either 'portraits of historical figures'  or 'Disney characters'.

Both of these themes are of course recognised from Michaels' drawings both at a young age and later in life, but it is interesting that so many new drawings are being released on to the market at the same time.

Here are some current examples:

Send us an email and we'll look at taken this in. AS I CAN SEE IT HAS A ROGER EPPERSON AND PSA/DNA COA. Others on here question these companies, but these are at the top of their field.

They aren’t perfect and when there’s this type of outcry the matter should be looked into further before offering these items for sale. Is it possible for a group of signed items to be widely accepted as authentic and still be fake? Yes!

Then don't waste our time, you are not welcome to consign as we get a lot of people who aren't sure what to do.

Hi Simon Parr,

This may solve the problem: Why don't you ask Roger Epperson to confirm his opinions on the MJ drawings being questioned in this discussion?

So Steve. Roger is gonna say he was wrong and authenticated 200+ drawings and charged $150 for each coa meaning he pocketed a minimum of $30,000 and then refund every single cent. I don't believe he will.

Roger gave an opinion based on the signature hopefully. If he didn't then that is up to the buyer to take whatever information is supplied a coa and either buy or not.

I won't discredit Roger Epperson like Pharasant has and say Roger got it wrong.

We won't be on here often as we are busy to reply to everyone. Everyone needs to get a proper job as their time is wasted debating on if something is real or not. The drawings come with Epperson/Mike Frost/JSA/and PSA DNA coa's among other companies. So if everyone on here wants to say all of those companies are wrong, then live autograph isn't gonna get in a new body of recognised authenticators on the marker.

David you said:

Can you see how stupid that all sounds. Someone who isn't an expert and saying that 8 auction houses who mainly have experts are wrong.

In the very beginning of this discussion we were seeing a bunch of these showing up on the market in auction houses--items never seen before, and artwork that did not look anything like MJ previously drew.

Memorabilia Vault stepped up to the plate to claim they were the sellers, and had obtained these items from a secure source--directly from people close to Michael, but a bunch of things did not add up at all.

This photo-shopped photo was given to Frost and Epperson when Memorabilia Vault was pressured about where these items actually came from.  They stated that Corey Feldman consigned these items directly to them.  However, after more proof that Corey wasn't involved (Coreys own letter)...  Mem Vault finally stated they hadn't told the truth, and that in fact they had obtained the items from someone else, and NOT Corey.

Sold by Parr's HERE   and does have an Epperson COA.

Now I repeat, Mem Vault admitted they lied, and didn't get the items from Corey at all.  The person behind the items was Jason Makris.

Furthermore, Makris ex fiance contacted several of us this past Summer and was present when Jason forged these items.  And I quote from her first email to me:

Well, I was there and I felt what he did was wrong. I reported Jason to the fbi when I found out what he was. I saw Jason Makris signing all the sketches as Michael Jackson like he was Michael Jackson. I couldn't believe he signed for Michael Jackson. The truth needs to come out so here it is.

So given that the above photo is a fake image of Corey (per Jason's ex this is Jason's body with Corey's head photo shopped onto it) - and the crown you sold is on that photo, and you have more drawings from this same "signer"... it isn't hard to put it all together and doesn't sound so "stupid" anymore.  COA or not, they are forgeries.

Well put summary, Wascher. Authenticators, auction houses and collectors were duped by the forgeries and some are still trying to profit from it. The facts speak for themselves.

And thats just one of the forgers they are pedaling.  The other big one is the Ireland forger.   He mentions that a pillowcase from him sold on a show not too long ago and everyone thought it was the real deal.

Here is one Lizzie shared by that same forger earlier this year.

Sold by Simon Parr HERE

Yet the actual artist who drew this came home from Michael Jackson's memorial (you know, after he died.... ) and drew the original.  She called it "Going Back Home".  That info is found on her deviant art account link below.

Here's a small video placing one item over the other, to show this is absolutely traced  (I use my transparency bar on the top layer so it fades in and out over the bottom layer)

David.... what happened here?  Michael was dead already when the original was drawn.

We can't reply to everything as we have jobs. And it seems like most people on live autograph don't work or live a very sad life to come on here every night.

Regarding Mickey and Michael. How do we 100% know Alan didn't see this Michael Jackson drawing and then just copied it. Why would someone go to so much trouble buying an expensive frame. Just cause Alan says he is the artist it doesn't prove anything.

Sad life?   Very nice.  Its always interesting when someone resorts to low blows.   Since your talking about your job.... don't you think its your JOB is to make sure that you don't sell forgeries.  To be concerned when something like the above shows up and is highly questionable?

And the artists name is Alba not Alan, she's a female.  Her's was uploaded in 2011 and yours just showed up.   Her's is beautifully illustrated and tells a story, and the one you sold is just lines on paper-traced exactly to the photo.

Heres some more of the Ireland forgers fine works of art.  Seriously you want us to believe MJ drew these?  Elvis and John Lennon for those who honestly cannot see who they are.  Under these two is a real MJ drawing.

Elvis http://www.invaluable.com/auction-lot/michael-jackson:-elvis-presle...

John Lennon:  http://www.invaluable.com/auction-lot/michael-jackson:-john-lennon-...

And then an authentic drawing below.   Really?

Well at least now you've been notified by us here on this forum (us nobodys that don't have lives) that we believe your pedaling forgeries.  If someone does sue you some day for pretending to not know, it's recorded here.

We have seen these on this site since the Juliens Dec 2012 listings etc. We have top coa's with every item and the full information is there for anyone to just ask. As Lizzie pointed out we are covered by UK law (Citizen's advice), she uploaded. And I'm pretty sure American auction houses are covered too, as everything is someone's opinion. It's up to the buyer if they wish to bid. People obviously look at the MJ drawings with us or with Cooper Owen(there's another one), or any other auction and then determine they are real.

If there weren't top coa's with these drawings we wouldn't sell them. So we aren't gonna believe MJ FANS on this site over top coa's. And yes a lot of people don't have a life on here. A lot of you would do better going out helping the homeless instead of gossping on here night after night. We don't profit from forgeries like you say eBay does. We don't list a lot of items as we get lots of customers around the world with THEIR stories. We tell them we don't want their stories we want coa's.

Wascher yourself and Lizzie were giving low blows making comments on all of the drawings that appear around the world.

It is most unprofessional. The only person that has been professional on here so far is Steve Cryken and Pharasant.
