This was supposed to have been thrown out of a Mumbai hotel window by  Monsieur Jackson. It sold   for a hugh amount of money but I was always  curious about it  and the whole story so I thought I would ask the M J purists for their opinion . gracias

Where was it sold? I thought he through blanket out the window. Lol

That was really funny!!  It made me laugh.

Where is this one being posted?

well its not being posted up now but it was sold a couple of years ago for a vast amount of money by Frazers Autographs in England.  By chance something I was interested in was just after this one came up and I was really shocked at how much it went for and  struck by the really good condition of something that had been thrown out of a window & supposedly fought over by fans.  I follow the MJ threads in which pillowcases seem to feature a lot and have always wondered about the authenticity of this one.  I only found the back catalgoue today in case anyone wishes to enquire why I am two years late in my enquiries!!!!

My gut tells me no but could be wrong - I just don't like the 'Jackson' part of his autograph - seems too long.

This seems very questionable. What year was this meant to be from? I know Michael was in Mumbai in 1996, however 1996 seems early for "Burn The Tabloids." This is something he said & wrote a lot but not until a few years later.

signed 30th October 1996 at the Oberoi hotel, Mumbai

Something just seems too neat about the whole thing.

this was one of the things that concerned me as well

I will chime in.  Looking into my personal Michael Jackson exemplar, this signed pillow case is without a doubt fake.  If you look at the following GENUINE signed pillow by Michael Jackson during his visit in Mumbai, India in 1996, you can totally tell the difference in lettering and signature.  Why would Michael sign it completely different from each other?  Easy, because this signed orange pillow is a fake.

There is something Jackson does in every single real example I've seen that is not present in this example. I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole if it were me.

Looks like someone got a nice windfall for forging a signature.

You'll fall off your seat if you knew how much it sold for which for the person who purchased it is very sad news indeed
