Mickey Mantle Autographed Baseball Forgery Ebay Seller Elchinito AAU Drew Max COA

Here's another putrid and pathetic-looking Mickey Mantle forgery with a COA from AAU (Drew Max).

This Mickey Mantle forgery on a baseball is listed by Ebay seller Elchinito.

Ebay seller Elchinito writes describes this piece-of-crap Mickey Mantle forgery as a "Unique Autographed Baseball With two COAs."

There is nothing unique about this Mickey Mantle forgery; this particular Mickey Mantle forgery was produced in the thousands.

Look at this laughable Roger Maris forgery with a worthless COA from Drew Max.

IMO not good.

Thank you very much for the knowledge and for your assessment.

I

IMO its good

Thank you for your assessment.

The baseline in the thread autograph is also way off. At one time i was looking at alot of Mantle signatures, but not so much anymore. But one of the things i learned very quickly was that in the Mantle portion, Mickey seemed to always signed with an uneven baseline. In authentic examples the ntle will sit higher  than the rest of the signature. at least thats one clue i look for. When i see a mantle autograph where you can lay a ruler down on the last name, and all the letters will touch it, i look elsewhere for an authentic example. Mantle seemed to always sign with that upper angle starting about half way through his last name.

Thank you for your explanation and your assessment.

I usually do not just get involved in these matters with be asked. With all do respects the conversation and opinions being stated are correct. I am sorry but the Mickey Mantle autographs you have posted are not authentic examples of Mickey Mantle's signature. I would be happy to be of assistance to you with any Mickey Mantle item you may have questions on without charge.
I believe you to be honest and interested in learning the truth about his autograph.
Thank you

I wish there were "like" buttons on comments :))  They only have them on the original thread, and that stinks :)

Mr. Frost, I truly appreciate your offer. I am confused about one of my postings. I posted a Mantle autograph on a ticket from a public signing that took place on January 10, 1993 and one reply was that the signature was suspect and another reply was that IMO was good. I actually own two tickets and one ticket accompanied a Mantle bat and the other ticket accompanied the Sporting News hat. Which assessment of the two 1993 tickets are correct? The replies on the hat were IMO not good. I need to dig out the bat and the last few items I own of Mantle. Also, how can I research DiMaggio and Williams items that I acquired from the same guy I got my Mantle items. I would truly appreciate any help from all who have replied. If you need me to post the two tickets together let me know. Thank you guys.

Mr. Farrell, the two tickets were provided as a certificate for the bat and the hat. I was not present at the signing and the only thing I can imagine is that the ticket has two boxes for $55.00 so each ticket might of cost $110.00 giving you two autographs-one for the ticket and one for your item. I have included a close up of the autograph and one of the entire ticket. I look forward to all replies. Thank you, Jorge.

Jorge,

If their is one guy out their who is an expert on Mantle, Joe D, Jeter and some others, its Christopher Williams. I dont think their is a better expert in the world than him on Mantle and Jeter. He will be able to give you an accurate assessment with near 100 percent accuracy. I would ask him and take his opinion into alot of consideration.

Carl, I appreciate your kind and flattering comments.  We all do our best here to expose the bad stuff in the hobby.  There are a lot of very good people on this site and we dedicate our time and efforts to try to clean up the hobby.
