Don, it's all about acquiring an "eye" for autographs.  There is no simpler way to explain it. 

If you're truly interested in "learning" autographs, it will take time; it will not happen overnight.

I agree.  I see too many vintage baseballs with obvious forgeries on them.  What a waste.
