I hate to bother you guys, but I have come across another Mantle piece in the shop. It has a certificate that I am not thrilled with, and would love some opinions from the Mantle experts here.

Thanks for your time.

This is a known and documented forgery style. These typically bear a "rectangular" look to the "antle." Note there is not enough height variance with the t. The whole last name has a somewhat "blockish" appearance.

That said, in my opinion, this is a relatively deceptive style. Much more so than the typical slowly executed and malformed Florida fakes, Marino fakes and Banana Mantles.

Thanks, did not know that.

I just figured the gold paint pens are harder to write with and somethin mighta been under the photo when signing no 7 . oh well pretty good forgery using that pen.

Exactly my thoughts haha.

Chris is right, no good.

I fully agree with Christopher on this.  the first M, the K, the Y and the N are all poorly executed, and the 7 is shaky.

Exactly, exactly, exactly, and finally, exactly.
The "antle" is what I noticed the most. I too thought it appeared too upright, if you will. And on my authentic Mantle ball, the t rose a little higher. Plus the k and y were way off from mine.
