We now have a Musician-Direct Autograph Sales Forum where you can post individual discussions of new offerings. It's a big change—and a big improvement. We closed this discussion after 8 years but it will always be available to read.

The new system has been in place for 2 months now and it's working well.

This video shows you how easy the new forum is to use.

You can follow the forum and be notified of new signings exclusively! And you can enter a musician's name in the forum's search box and find any discussions about them.

Be sure to click the Follow link at the bottom of the list of discussions.

Try it...I think you'll like it.

It can be nice when one stumbles upon a musician's shop (via their website), to see that they are selling their autographs. I figured this could grow as a wee database for listing those musicians who partake in this.

I recently recieved a couple press photos signed in ballpoint from John Mayall's website (http://www.johnmayall.com/merch.html). I am also aware that you can purchase signed CDs from Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits(http://peternoone.com/store/). John 5 ( formerly Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie guitarist) sells various items signed, with an option to dedicate.

So, does anyone else know of this being done by other musicians?

On the topic of preorder controversies, I had someone point out that there were some issues with the Lana Del Rey preorder in the UK. While many of the CDs look just fine, a good portion likewise do not. A Lana collector who'd gotten her in person many times pointed this out. It could be a reason for the delay on the other preorders as I'd that Lana would not wish to have her reputation tainted.

I noticed differences in her signature as well. The picture of her signing they're all the same. She signed like this:
Lana
Del
Rey

But in this picture from eBay they're pretty varied signatures and some are signed in a straight line, like "Lana Del Rey" and decent amount of variance.

So I think only the ones that are written like the ones in the pic of her signing are probably real. Look that the D on Del and compared to the other signatures in the second pic they don't look anything alike. Amongst some other stuff... And that's just a quick look. It also looks like she makes her L on Lana tall and skinny and straight. Some have a lot of forward slant. I'm not expert but they seem a little off.

Anybody have a Brian Wilson exemplar from about 7-8 yrs ago.  I was going back thru some of my old files looking for a cert and found an envelops with some note cards and there was a Brian autograph I'd totally forgotten about.

Thanks..

Post the Brian.

Had to reinstall my scanner...arrrggg.

Here it is.

No bueno.

It was mixed in with a bunch of sports autographs and not being a Beach Boys fan I didn't pay much attention to it at the time.  I guess it could have been that baseball player.  Oh well...no big deal at this point. I'll stick it in the fake example file I have and thankfully only a couple of others.  Thanks all...

You are correct, if it was with baseball players it could be the Brian Wilson from the MLB. I think he is a Giant? I don't know his graph, but makes more sense.

Pitcher Brian Wilson's autograph likewise looks much different that that.

No good.
Sorry that is way off.
We Came As Romans and Butcher Babies have signed items on pledgemusic. Cheap Trick also has a signed bundle for this Christmas album but it's $150.
