Musicians Who Sell Their Signatures In Shop.

We now have a Musician-Direct Autograph Sales Forum where you can post individual discussions of new offerings. It's a big change—and a big improvement. We closed this discussion after 8 years but it will always be available to read.

The new system has been in place for 2 months now and it's working well.

Though I recall a member posting a blog asking about this a while ago, I could not relocate it for my purpose in this discussion.

It can be nice when one stumbles upon a musician's shop (via their website), to see that they are selling their autographs. I figured this could grow as a wee database for listing those musicians who partake in this.

I recently recieved a couple press photos signed in ballpoint from John Mayall's website (http://www.johnmayall.com/merch.html). I am also aware that you can purchase signed CDs from Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits(http://peternoone.com/store/). John 5 ( formerly Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie guitarist) sells various items signed, with an option to dedicate.

So, does anyone else know of this being done by other musicians?

Email from Nikki Minaj store: her signed items are delayed 3-4 weeks. (maybe because she is signing each and everyone by hand??)

Just received this. Hopefully it’s not an auto pen. For once I received something signed nicely packed and with no damage.

Looks identical to the autopenned copies posted on Twitter a few days ago, I am awaiting my 2 copies, I’ve e maile Niki Minaj Webstore stating if they are autopenned then I will be returning them and they can pay my return postage and import taxes, they haven’t replied.... 3 days and counting.....

I disputed the charge directly with Mastercard. The official response from the Minaj store on the question of auto-penned sigs is “all items are autographed by the artist - we apologize for any inconvenience”

At best you get your money back from your card or bank. At worst you fight the store to get your money back which Im sure will be a pain in the ass.

I contacted the MusicToday.com store, who responded, "It was signed by the artist, the client is standing that information. If you do not want to keep it, you can return the order for refund." Then, of course, they gave no return address. So I called 877-687-4277 and talked to someone there. She confirmed that the artists wasn't planning on re-signing things and offered to email me a prepaid return label. She also confirmed I would get my full order price, including shipping, back.

Loretta is 86. Unfortunately for us, I am guessing she decided life is too short to spend it signing hundreds or thousands of autographs.
