Hello all, I just found you guys while cursing the net. I am new to the site but have been collecting autographs for some time. Lots of early (1980's-90's) grunge and others in person. I have three examples that I would like to present for your learned opinions and knowledge. Thank you and it's great to be here!
Cheers! Presley

No on the Bowie.

I am not familiar with any of the autographs but if the contract is legitimate you should be fine because a contract is a legal document.
If that is an attempt at a Duane Allman signature, I don't think it's real.
Hello, thanks for your insights, it is very much appreciated.
The Rancid I got in person at a club called DV8 that used to be here in Seattle. Really cool, fun, sincere guys. I got to spend 6-7 hours hanging out with them. Lars girlfriend called while we were talking and she said she just drove by his apartment building and all of his s*** was sitting on the sidewalk. He had been evicted for not paying the rent. The only thing he was worried about was his record collection. I heard later his girlfriend paid the rent and his bay area friends hauled it all back upstairs. That's the reason I like getting autographs, the people.
The Allman Brothers contract is real. An acquaintance of mine bought several straight from the Capricorn Records archive, and these had been in storage for over 40 years. I acquired a different one from the one picture. I'll attach a shot. Better definition. I love this one. The college is still there.
I was wondering if I could get any more opinions on the David Bowie piece, Eric thanks for commenting, a consensus so to speak. I know this is a tough one, which is why I really want your hard, honest, opinions. What forms your opinion? I won't give background on it till later so as to not influence your take on it. Thanks in advance!
Cheers! Pres

Story doesn't add up, sorry.
Hey, It has been one hell of a week. Started working 12 hr overnight shifts, usually ends up being 13-14 hrs. Getting to old for this s*** ;>} Anyway............ Thanks for your opinions and observations concerning these items, that's exactly what I want. I am not an expert, by any means, but I am a big fan of integrity. Most of the autographs I have were obtained in person by me, so I know they are as genuine as the memories that go with them. The ones I have not acquired in person I want to know your opinions. I want to know if I got taken or it's the real deal. Honesty, integrity, I want to know in my head that whoever signed was actually putting pen to paper themselves. It just makes it so much sweeter!
So the Bowie was sold to me as being signed by the sellers brother who works for the Jimmy Fallon show. I'm trying to get a coa on official stationary, from the brother. Dicey I know. Your comments are welcome.
The Allman Brothers contract in the picture is the one I acquired. The seller guarantees the signature to pass any third party inspection. Steve, I completely agree and understand, I've seen it done numerous times. My son owns his own booking company. He makes the entire band sit down and sign and read the contracts so no one is surprised or getting taken. It's a tough business. He now has 10+ years of original band signed contracts in this files. I gave him a couple of early pointers. Anyway, comments and opinions welcome.
The other pic is my Nirvana promo flat, signed Halloween night 1991 at the Paramount Theater, Seattle. One of my dear friends was the stage manager at this show. He got 2 autographs and an old acoustic guitar Kurt left at the venue. He called him up to tell him it was there and Kurt told him to keep it. Comments as well!!
Thanks lads! All the Best! Pres
Well that's b*******, saying that you got nirvana ip.
Duane isn't real also.
"So the Bowie was sold to me as being signed by the sellers brother who works for the Jimmy Fallon show."
Read straight through...that may be accurate. Revealing sources later won't change my opinion. If you say you obtained this IP it won't change my opinion.
