Problem with a deal from AML member Sam Lait from the UK

Sorry to report this as usually the members here are a pleasure to deal with. Here are the facts:

Sam Lait posted in the Buy/Sell/Trade section offering his Elvis Presley signed program with RR Auction LOA. We agreed on a price and he said he would send it a day or two with tracking info. That was on Jan. 5th -- 19 days ago and I'm still waiting. I've asked him numerous times for the tracking number, receipt of mailing, ANYTHING showing that he mailed it -- but have gotten nothing. He only said "I sent it express rather than tracking" which means nothing as Express mail still has to have a tracking number. I filed a claim on Paypal and after he didn't provide them with the tracking number -- I won the case and got my money back.

Now you might think -- no harm done you got your money back -- but after going back and forth with him 20 times, dealing with the Paypal hassle of a claim, etc this was NOT FUN and a big headache -- plus the money was tied up for two weeks and I couldn't spend it on other things.

This is a rarity and I hope it doesn't happen to other members on AML.

Thank goodness this is an exception to the norm on this site. I am happy you got your money back but it is a pain in the you know what. Been there, done that.
