I was looking through the John Lennon PSA AutographFacts database and was very surprised to see this item. Thoughts?

It's a fake.

Perhaps some sort of pastiche but my first reaction is not good. Especially the color.

No way.

Thanks for the opinions. I agree. Here’s a similar one with GFA certification:

...and a very poor color sketch! The other is poor as well.

Here the same sketch for sale in a Vancouver art gallery. $17000 if you interested.

I emailed Kevin Keating at PSA/DNA a couple hours ago after you posted this and he absolutely agrees it's a forgery. He says thanks and it will be pulled down ASAP.

Kevin says he wants to go through every name in Autograph Facts but hasn't had the time yet. He appreciates it when people tell them what needs to be reevaluated.

Gleason is 50% forgeries. I've written with proof of where they are coming from to no avail. I'll try again.

Steve them to me, Eric.

That’s amazing. Nicely done, Steve!
This Ringo signature also isn’t authentic in my opinion.

Thank YOU for pointing it out, Ballroom!

I agree with you on the Ringo. PSA's posted exemplars are excellent overall. I use and refer to them often. But no one's perfect and there is the occasional miss.

I wasn’t going to even attempt to have it removed. The Ringo might be a bit trickier considering that it’s currently for sale on eBay.
