I was told by a PSA rep that submitted items are reviewed by multiple authenticators. The only signatures I've seen on music LOAs are Steve Grad and Joe Orlando.
The majority of items are likely reviewed by one person and authenticated in 60 seconds or less. In most cases thats all it takes.
John Kayne,
I posted something yesterday that you haven't replied to. Rich was right yesterday, you need to be more specific, detailed and accurate in what you're posting. I mentioned some yesterday, but here's what you need to do:
It is absolutely OK to post about this here, but right now you look like someone who will do anything to harm the name of a person or organization you're upset with or is hurting your business.
You need to flesh things out and build your legitimacy.
John, Steve is right, on another note I spoke to one of my clients in the Food Industry, we share the same passion for collecting. He is the one that had purchased 2 Autographs with Bob Eaton's signature as lead authenticator, one authenticated by Epperson and one by James Spence SR. He submitted the items to PSA without the other COA'S, and all 4 failed PSA.He paid $900 in fees to PSA because he chose to get them authenticated quicker. He would like your phone# in joining you in your class action suit. I know for a fact that all 4 of these autographs were examined by the finest individuals in the Autograph Industry, and they should have all pass PSA. If Steve Grad was there, they would have passed. I am not sure if you could share your phone# privately, if not, you can ask Steve with my permission to give you my name and my email address privately.
sure
If you friend a member you can send private messages to each other
A perfect example is Press Pass col. selling Linda Blair nudes regularly (Ebay) tested by PSA/DNA. My brother is her dentist from way back. She told him she never signed any nudes!!
All we have so far in this discussion is one person saying "his friend" got back 33 negative opinions from PSA and was out $3400 bucks. Please post scans of some or all of the items that were rejected along with the rejection letters from PSA. Otherwise we are all just going on rumor and speculation -- not facts.
exactly Bruce Juice. While I know PSA's day will come when they turn into Global, the fact that anyone would spend $3,500.00 on 25 opinions for anything just means the man should simply have HIS HEAD EXAMINED PERIOD. He is a moron IMHO, and deserves what he got. I'm sure they ARE FAKE and he is a misled idiot. At least the facts you portray lead to it. Post the proof and then we can decide. What do ya say there fruitcake? Otherwise, you are just preaching to the simpletons of which you are obviously one. Good luck with your class action suit.
Fudd,
I love having you here but don't demean members of this site. I've asked you this many times before! We don't have a lot of rules here but you know 'em. Thanks
Ask your friend if some of these items were purchased from reputable dealers, or if he had COA from other companies. Let's try to help him. In the future my recomandation would be to ask PSA for a quick opinion first. If they say that it is most likely genuine go for it. Also send in any COA's that you have with the item. If PSA sees that someone like Bob Eaton, Spense SR, Koschal or Darvick put their name on it, most likely you will make PSA job very easy and they will approve it. To give you one instance PSA had failed one item that was purchased from RR, but PSA did not know it was purchased from RR, the autograph was already pre certified and failed. Bob made good on it and had PSA reversed it at no extra charge.
