I recently bought a bundle of comics on an online Goodwill auction. The comics were mostly random stuff from the 90’s but I went after it because it had The Silver Surfer: Ultimate Cosmic Experience. I had been looking for one of these books. Well when I opened it up I was taken back by these two signatures looking back at me. I quickly proceeded to lose my mind in excitement.

But I got to looking and I keep thinking that there’s something off about these sigs. The S in Stan’s looks totally different to how I’ve usually seen it. And Jack’s looks pretty sloppy compared to the others I’ve looked up. Also most don’t have the dot above the “i”. I would be quick to assume they were fakes if not for the COA included with the book. What do y’all think? I might consider CBCS verification but any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

And here is the generic looking COA. I was unable to locate Western Traders or Sporttraders.

The Stan Lee autograph is atypical.  I am not familiar with Jack Kirby's autograph.

Neither signature is authentic, IMO.

They are both undoubtedly fake.
