Rock and Roll Collection Concerns [Title revised by moderator]

I see this site brought up a lot on this site for autograph references.

http://www.rockandrollcollection.com/

problem is, who ever this Stephan is he has a load of forgeries up here too. I get messages from people from time to time saying he has offered to sell a member here an item or two and it is never the real stuff imo, it is usually the fake stuff. Greed. He wants money but doesn't want to part with the good stuff.

Eagles are his most famous work. Attached is a screen shot of his fake work (not limited too). Notice how they are the same..... duh. If you look through his stuff he has loads of fake Zeppelin, Beatles, Springsteen, Stones, Floyd and more. Even the so called authentic Traveling Wilbury's is not real. Maybe the George and Petty are ok but 100% not the Lynne and I'm pretty sure the Dylan is bogus also. Anyway, I don't wish to debat about this guy and his ethics but if you are using him a reference be careful and I wouldn't buy anything from the guy either.

+ 1 as well.

Forgive the glare. This came from an office at Mohegan Sun. Signed for Robin Pelletier asst entertainment mgr. She sold a few things to me. I quick opinioned Roger on this.

Its huge and its a beauty.

What a beauty!!!

Thanks, I gotta admit though these are the worst circumstances, I cant get enough Eagles autograph talk!

yes, very education, and enjoying the pix, even if the original circumstances are less then stellar... that MS poster is a-may-zing! might have to pony up and find the right (authentic) piece for me!

That is crazy wonderful!!!

Henley signed Walden Woods print.

Sucker is huge and hard to not show glare without natural light. With lighting on it the cowskull looks pretty cool and the lights over the band, pics don't do it justice!

Here's a good Don Henley piece to study, a 1971 handwritten letter from him to a girl, probably someone he dated. He said he had a hangover in it and it's about 15 years before Stephen started collecting, so take that into account.

It was offered by Gotta Have Rock and Roll in July 2014 with a $500 minimum but didn't sell. I'm not a fan of theirs, but this looks fine to me.

Compare the shapes and connections between the letters of Henley autographs to the same letters in the note. Not just autographs in this discussion but keep the letter on hand when you're looking for any Henley autographs in the wild.

It's plenty big...click to enlarge:

To further illustrate Steve's point on the handwriting differences and to explain what I said earlier about the Henley 'y' to Christopher, take a look at these examples from the letter.  He doesn't bring his 'y' up to the same midline as the rest of the letters.

And you see the same outcome when you examine his authentic signatures, the ending 'y' is not completed and brought to the same midline as the rest of the letters.

Yet in all of the examples that have been questioned, the 'y' is completed and brought to alignment with the rest of the letters:

That is just not a trait of his handwriting, yet it is consistently seen here.

That is a very good and helpful observation imo.
