Not much help, but it helps to look at every little curve in signatures to see if anything matches.

Looks good to me, but it's VERY rushed. His signature is not scarce, so I would find a better quality signature with better contrast and placement.

+1 for contrast & placement. In my humble opinion, were that any more rushed it would be on...another photo.

Eric

So you're saying it's good right Devon.

I found the most rushed example I've ever received from Daltrey (see attached pic) and it does look similar. For example, this album was signed through a car window and there was a crowd of people gathered, so he was signing very quickly.

Do you think it's genuine?

Genuine but not desirable is the way I read this - "His signature is not scarce, so I would find a better quality signature with better contrast and placement." I agree. Placement and contrast might save an otherwise rushed graph, to a degree, but not here.

Eric

So it is genuine that all I want to know...yes or no...

It could go either way,it is not a good example of his signature. Better to buy a nicer authentic one that might one day go up in value.

Hi Nicholas,

It is a matter of preference. I have heard "I don't want that, it's rushed" and "that looks rushed" and "stay away from "rushed" signatures" enough to make an impression on me. Some people will simply avoid a rushed signature. A lot of folks like their autographs to have the appearance most others will expect and recognize. Can something be rushed and attractive simultaneously? Is that partially dependent on what is signed and with what/where/when?

I do know there are items that bear genuine rushed signatures that are simply not desirable or as desirable and will command less $ and interest, if any at all in some cases.

Eric

You normally want to buy a piece that not only is attractive to you, but if for some reason you may have to part with it down the road, you will be able to sell it easier if it is instantly recognizable as authentic to others.
Yes Nicholas, the signature is authentic, IMO. Just a very rushed signature with bad contrast and placement. Unless it is free, or very, very cheap, there are better quality Daltrey signatures to be found.
