ROLLING STONES AUTHENTIC &GENUINE HAND SIGNED AUTOGRAPHS

Any of you know much about rolling stones autographs? just wondering about these? apparently signed in 1966.

Provenance/ Authenticity;

"The Rolling Stones lived occasionally in a house on the outskirts of Reading in Berkshire , England when I was a boy, quite close to where we used to live. My brother and I left our autograph books there with the housekeeper and a few months later when we picked them up they had been autographed by the band on one of their rare visits.

It is inscribed “Best Wishes the Stones” and autographed by Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Bill Wyman, “Charley Boy” Watts, and Brian Jones, (who died in 1969).

1966 was one of the bands’ most creative periods featuring the release of celebrated singles such as “Paint it Black” and “19th Nervous Breakdown”.

I think the one on the left with Mick and Brian Jones were definitely signed by the same person.

That should be "was" definitely signed by the same person, not "were".

I think the housekeeper signed them to make two young lads happy, i had some Beatles all signed by Georges mum similar story two young girls left their books with her at her house and she didnt want to dissapoint them

I have no expertise with the above signatures, but am glad you brought up the "story." I love to know about my autographs and like to get background as much as possible about them especially when buying from the original owner. These stories add interest, but in and of themselves prove neither provenance nor authenticity. The key is the autograph itself the story is secondary at best. I myself keep a record of autographs I have gotten in person at shows and if the celebrity told me something of interest. I think that is a good idea it helps to remind me of the experience of meeting them. The story does not prove the autograph it only enhances my enjoyment of the autograph. So a good rule of thumb when looking on eBay is to ignore the story until you are sure of the autograph. As an aside I doubt very much that any housekeeper signed those just to keep a couple kids happy.
