I get what you mean. You're not wrong. The story at the end could have been better but there is something about this movie for me but came off like a teenagers fantasy. Still, its memorable, rewatchable, makes me think about how ill be with my daughter in 10 years (not as a killer haha) and its just super fun. Lots of comical enjoyment which im not sure was supposed to be M.'s intention.
I feel similar in ways about his movie "Devil". Comical to me because I half expected Doug Heffernan to open the door at any point to deliver a package to his mom. That story could have also been better but for whatever reason, both these movies resonate with me.
I'm just upset that both my copies came with seam splits and they pretty much have been ignoring me. Not something you would expect when paying a premium.
