I have my doubts and thought I'd reach out...

I saw this listing and I too have doubts about the authenticity of the signature.  As I look through the seller’s other items—mostly vintage, inscribed, fountain pen-signed, original press stills at reasonable or even TOO reasonable prices, I fear the worst.  The few other signatures that I’m familiar with among this sellers items also look slightly off—not completely off, but slightly off.  Viewed in isolation, I might conclude they were authentic.  But when taken in the context of everything else I’ve seen from this seller, it feels like something is fishy.  I hope I’m wrong.

It's gone now.

I almost took a chance, and figured I'd hold off on payment until I got some input on here. I haven't done that before and didn't want to go down that road. My opinion is the same as yours. I felt something was off with certain letters, but overall in isolation, it had a shot. I should know better though...  A year and a half ago, I was purchasing quite a few items from this seller. It wasn't until I bought a very expensive one and asked opinions on here that I became concerned. I started comparing different celebrity signatures, and found similarities that made me believe nothing was authentic. So, I submitted 1/2 dozen to Beckett, and another handful to PSA for quick opinion (which doesn't mean a lot, Lol), and everything came back bad. Contacted the seller and they took everything back (items purchased months prior) and gave full refund. I learned my lesson and stayed away, but will sometimes will see something I think is good (wishful thinking), like this piece. There's that thought of hoping there's good with bad...  and that's dangerous. Lol

You can clearly see so many spots where the person (not Connery) slowed down and hesitated.  There is not a smooth flow to the signature at all.  The letter s is written 4 different ways on top of everything else that is wrong.

Thanks. I'm glad my gut instinct was to avoid.

I had issues with the inscription, and certain letters in his name, but still felt it was close. As I said, wishing something to be right is a bad thing. Lol.

Now that you pointed out the flow, etc., I see what you mean.  Appreciate the expertise.

The “h” appears to be crossed.  Very odd.

Agreed, not authentic IMO
