At least one buyer figured out what’s going on with the original seller of the item in the OP. This is from the buyer of eBay seller philfatt0’s Ronald Reagan “signed” baseball:
Scammer. Autograph Failed JSA Authentication. Fake. Seller denied refund.
That about says it all
More great feedback for philfatt0...
CHRIS HEMSWORTH Signed Funko POP COA (Marvel Avengers, Thor)
Bought 2 “signed” funkos which came back fake.. User hasn’t responded since.
The Hofner was relisted and sold for $1,100 shipped with no mention of the signature on the pickguard. The title is simply "Beatles Hofner" and the description is as follows:
Beatles Hofner. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. comes as shown in picture with custom case and pickguard.
Maybe the original poster of this discussion was a victim of the original seller. Although, the added enhancements about Perry Cox, etc makes me wonder. I personally know it's hard to get a response from Perry.
Of course, if Perry made an offer to buy, maybe it's time to reconsider that option.
I agree, it's a highly suspect signature. IMHO.
I'm seeing a lot of hearsay. Perry offered to buy something? Perhaps true, perhaps not. I wouldn't hold this against Perry at all because of the unreliability of the statement.
