looks like he has just signed the dashboard of the car he's sitting in in the photo, autograph looks different....

The signed photos are authentically signed autographs.  I'd imagine signing a flat 8x10 on a table is different than signing a curved glovebox on a dashboard.

I wasn't trying to set the hares running, just an observation and you are most certainly right.... his autograph has been consistent for decades.... I met Aerosmith in Tower Records London in 1993, the autograph I got then looks just like the way he signs these photos today....

Congratulations, that's awesome!  I actually thought of something else as well - sometimes when things are printed by companies (like a signature automobile), it could be that it was actually not signed on the glovebox, but rather printed by the company that specially designed the interior for him.  If that's the case, he may have had to use a special machine that didn't allow him the freedom to sign the way he normally signs for the design of the interior of the car.
