I had this one previously listed in another area and decided this one needs to be discussed in this forum. I am not an expert on Stevie's signature by any means but did have some concerns once I received it. I do know that her personal assistant named Ginny did sign on her behalf quite frequently and her signature is quite similar to Stevie's.
I have also included a Stamp on the back of the photo which links to Ginny which I did not know about until receiving the item.
What say my fellow members. I feel is it, more than likely, a secretarial.

I'm still trying to get a read on who this Ginny Kamano is in relation to Stevie. From what I understand she is more of a friend than a secretary or personal assistant. And she was, for a period of time, in charge of handling her fan mail.
Did she sign on behalf of Stevie? The only definitive way to resolve this would be Ginny herself. Has anyone directly asked her or know how to contact her? Of course, she could lie although I don't see an upside to that unless she still has some financial gain.
From what I can piece together she still has a decent relationship with Stevie. Isn't it weird that some of these celebrities and those around them have so much contempt for the fans that support them.
Here is an interesting read on Ginny
Thanks, Seamus. I have already read that discussion.
Seamus, remember the Rolling Stones debate we had awhile back where there were lots of divided opinions on a stones set I owned? Finally, we got lucky enough to trace down the source of the autographs and discovered surrounding facts that proved the set was forged.
This is what eventually has to happen here.
I just don't think you're going to get an absolute straight answer from the source, especially what I've read about Ginny. I think you need to settle on your particular confidence level based on what the ink shows between your example against on the examples I've provided of Ginny's handwriting & other documented authentic Stevie exemplars.
Its the ink which should do most of the talking. Especially not what Beckett says. They are at the bottom of my food chain. Just my two cents. You know where I stand with this one, I'll let others chime in, but remember, its the ink that matters most.
I personally would not want to own any Stevie signed item with her name associated with it. Especially traits such as the strange 'k' in Nicks, and how it looks slowly drawn in areas. Also, Stevie almost never jumbled letters together in her first name - these examples always blend in letters together.
Were you able to return it? I often wonder how often collectors are able to return items that are not authentic and receive a full refund.
It may originally have been an unsigned photo a fan purchased that had the address on the back and may be an in person signature where the person, knowing she likes to personalized, gave a similar name to hers thinking it wouldn't be like a normal personalization. I know, a lot of may be's with no facts but just some small observations.
OK, here is the example of the Beckett signed photo that Ginny supposedly signed on the top. The second one is my example. The signatures are similar with differences. You made a point about the "k". They are different. IMO
Am I seeing this wrong? Also, mine is personalized where the Beckett example is not unless the personalization has been removed.
I was looking at the “k” too, Joe. And while I have no other experience studying or even looking at Stevie’s sig, I agree with you - the k’s shown above look different - from each other - to me too.
The "S" is Stevie is totally different. Angle is different. In fact, the more I look at these two the more different they look. Now, if Beckett is using this one as a reference then mine may not pass!
