Steve asked me to start a new thread since some were having a lot of issues with regards to whether or not the through the mail autographs of Jerry Lee Lewis are real or not. I will post some examples of what we have been getting recently and some know in person examples. These TTM signatures are not cheap. You have to pay $50 for them to his box office box. The question is are they real or not. Roger has said that he has never seen Mr. Lewis sign this way and it looks to perfect - like a woman's signature.
Please post your thoughts here and examples.
thanks

Josh,
Times have changed. People aren't just living longer, they're living younger. Jerry is 78. My mom is 83 and her handwriting is as smooth and fluid as I've ever remembered it. Now granted, maybe she hasn't partied as much as JLL has in his life, so his writing may be a little shakier. I don't know. But don't assume they all write like Katherine Hepburn.
I have to agree with you Steve. Josh, you or I don't know or can't generalize about the signing style of the aging population. I am sure some signatures go down hill, some change and some are consistent. I think you, Josh, are making some big claims about things you can have no way of knowing.
In another note, does everyone feel the last two signatures I received ttm are legit? I received a couple private messages with people saying they are as well as a couple posts on this discussions. If so, those could be the basis of our discussion going forward. My seemingly ever evolving opinion is that at least 3 or the five ttm Jerry Lee autographs I received (#7, 8 and 10 on Steve's composite) are legit and the other two I am unsure of.
Chad,
Sorry if this has been suggested before, but what about taking the main signature members here are concerned may be secretarial, and asking JLL if he'd be kind enough to sign a couple similar on video? They can use a cell phone and email it to you.
That could answer concerns once and for all. I'd be happy to ask if you'd rather not.
Secretarial signature studies usually involve celebrities that have passed away, like Jackie Gleason and Charlton Heston, it didn't occur to me until now to ask them for the obvious.
Be sure to tell them we're not asking them to send the autographs. Just video of him actually signing.
I like this idea.

The inscriptions continue to puzzle me. They do appear to be in different handwriting on some of the items than JLL's signature. I think I may have mentioned before I thought someone else was signing the inscriptions and JLL was signing underneath. I asked Judith about this and she said JLL signed all and did all inscriptions. If someone else is writing the inscriptions and JLL is signing that wouldn't be as huge of a deal to me. If this was the case (one person writing inscriptions, jll writing name) I wouldn't think they would lie about it.
The A.B. sig looks good to me by the way.
Andre, did you place the X there to indicate where you wanted the signature?
