Steve asked me to start a new thread since some were having a lot of issues with regards to whether or not the through the mail autographs of Jerry Lee Lewis are real or not. I will post some examples of what we have been getting recently and some know in person examples. These TTM signatures are not cheap. You have to pay $50 for them to his box office box. The question is are they real or not. Roger has said that he has never seen Mr. Lewis sign this way and it looks to perfect - like a woman's signature.
Please post your thoughts here and examples.
thanks
Mark

In my mind the jury is still out on this matter. The examples Chad just got back appear closer to what was accepted as authentic exemplars ... strong right slant... slurred last name... a more reckless application.
I think some of the neater examples with no right slant should still be viewed as possibly secretary. Maybe there is a mix of good and secretarial here.
To sort this out a side-by-side line up of various examples would be helpful. The jumping back and forth is not an effective way to compare.
I'd like to study these side by side as well. I don't really know how to put that together to share though.
I will post some closer up high res photos of the new items tonight. One characteristic I noted that points to these being authentic is on the photo. The e in Lee and L in Lewis are connected as are many of the psa or Epperson certed examples posted early in this thread.
Hi Chad:
I don't have any doubts what you just got back TTM is authentic. I would accept them as authentic. I really don't think JLL is going to pose with items someone else signed as part of some elaborate ruse. And as I mentioned, the ones you got back are relatively consistent with previously accepted authentic exemplars.
In terms of "the jury still out," I was referring to some of the other exemplars displayed earlier. Those with each letter carefully defined and little right slant.
One other factor I noticed is that on some exemplars inscriptions (e.g., "Killer") is in quotes and on others it is not. It is a small sampling, but from what I have seen, examples that feature the quotes tend to be the examples that look more "off." Maybe it means something... maybe it doesn't, but it could be a clue.
So, in my opinion, the jury is still out on whether some are proxy signatures. More study and side-by-side comparisons are needed.
To me the biggest clue is the squiggly line. That was pretty consistent. The new ones posted dont have it.
He actually did add a small line under each of my items. One of them is a bit of a squiggle.
I agree, particularly regarding the authenticity of the two particular pieces that included the proof pictures.
GREAT WORK Chad!
I am very confused at this time on this. Looking forward to checking out your close up photos of the recent items you got back

Also - what did Judith say from this day forward on US getting our items signed. Are they now $100 or $50 a piece and does that include photographic proof of him signing the items. If that is the case I might be in.
thanks and let me know
Mark
I asked her last night for confirmation on the cost. She said items are $100.00 plus shipping (or send your own pre paid shipping envelope, etc.). I doubt it will include photographic proof. She said Jerry hates that but she would do it for me because I was concerned.
And she did offer money back on the $50 ones that we first sent in if we were still not sure about them. Right?
I am waiting to see what Roger thinks on all this… first.
thanks!
Mark
I didn't ask for a refund for myself or for anyone else. When I was questioning who signed them she said they would give my money back if I was not trusting them. I told her I didn't want my money back I just wanted some kind of proof he actually signed my items. That's about all I can say about that.
Chad, what was the PO box you used?
