Steve asked me to start a new thread since some were having a lot of issues with regards to whether or not the through the mail autographs of Jerry Lee Lewis are real or not.  I will post some examples of what we have been getting recently and some know in person examples.   These TTM signatures are not cheap.  You have to pay $50 for them to his box office box.  The question is are they real or not.  Roger has said that he has never seen Mr. Lewis sign this way and it looks to perfect - like a woman's signature.

Please post your thoughts here and examples.

thanks

Mark

Million Dollar Quartet Signed Guitar with Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis Signatures

I need to think on this one before I give an opinion.

Mark

I believe this guitar was discussed in the Elvis auction thread and the general feeling was the item was suspect at best.

Is there an Elvis Auction thread already??  I didn't see it.  I just started one.  Can you post a link and I will delete mine.

thanks

Mark

I was unaware of the other thread. I just know people can't get enough JLL so I posted it on this discussion.

I think the JLL signature on the item has good qualities but I am not 100% sold on it being authentic or not.

highly suspect.

With my professional experience I would say yes - but he signed it in a hurry - good luck getting that much money for it.

Anyone recently send anything in thru the mail for 100.00?

OK - here we go again!!

I just came across this signed album on ebay today and had to share with the group.  Here is the description the Ebay seller states.

"For Sale is a JERRY LEE LEWIS autographed LP record album.  Jerry lee signed this album in BLACK SHARPIE when he was in Beaumont TX as part of his 80th Birthday Tour.  After the concert, at the hotel, his tour manager of 40 years, JW Whitten, took up my two albums to get them signed by Jerry Lee.  After talking with JW in the lobby for some time, he went back up stairs to bring down the signed albums."

This is the exact same type of signature that Roger stated was the signature of JW Whitten.  So here we are again with a signature that the person did not see get signed in person and JW Whitten was involved.   The way this signature looks speaks for its self.  Just like the books and just like the guitars that Roger said JW Whitten signed.

This is not the signature of an 80 year old Jerry Lee Lewis who has tremors in his hand and this looks in NO way close to the ones I got back last year.  This is all my opinion, of course.

Could you post the link please? Thanks
