This goes back a few years but an ebay seller at the bottom of the autograph food chain of people who were selling stuff from the famed Marino family, went to my ebay feedback file and e mailed everyone in it with a slanderous e mail about me.

He used a screen name that had no meaning to me. I sued John Doe in Federal court.

That gave me subpoena power and I subpoeaned AOL (he was using an AOL a/c) and ebay.

I got his real name, got all his ebay records and sued him.

Ebay kicked him off when a study of his multiple records revealed massive shill bidding.

When I presented deposition questions and demanded his presence in NY to answer (the seller was in Florida) he caved.

I got a nice check from the seller(s) (husband and wife team) for my efforts.

Sue the bastards.

Good job--I didn't know you did that. What made you want to write about this today?

Great to hear Richard. While the outcome was positive, I'm sure it was a long, stressful and costly effort. It's too bad you had to go through this in the first place.
