Steve,

If you typically have such an easy time getting your autographs authenticated by "the three biggies" as you call them, why did you say this in the listing description?

There is no dispute as to the authenticity of this autograph as it is the real deal. However, all 3rd party authenticity services are your responsibility as I will no longer pay for their often unreliable and unethical services (most of them, not all of them). Your happiness equals my happiness and I will treat you as well as I would ask you to treat me. I am tired of paying up to 2 submissions per item per company, just so they can rake in as much money as they can while they waste my time with first impressions, second opinions etc... . Most of these authenticities companies have become a waste of a time joke.

Since Stephen Duncan joined this conversation, which confirms that littleleagueumpp is his eBay account, I'll post the description of the 11x14 signed photo at the top of this discussion I was referring to:

You are bidding on the VERY RARE autographed and signed 11X14 color photograph signed by Glenn Frey, Don Felder, Randy Meisner and Bernie Leadon of the band EAGLES.  Don Henley is the only missing member's signature in this photograph and has not autographed it.

THIS PHOTOGRAPH, is in almost MINT condition. The Signatures are late 1980's VINTAGE!!!

THE SIGNATURES ARE NOT A  REPRINT OF ANY KIND.  Its 1000% the real live deal!!!!

PLEASE READ: I have collected over 350 signatures from all 7 of these band members since, 1985. By far, the bulk of these 350 came between their "solo years" of 1985 - 1994.  It was during this time they were signing almost anything and everything, and in quantities that now are a long lost day be gone.  They now, are the hardest band in R&R to collect from, and with Glenn (deceased and Randy (retired and ill), even 4 of the 5 members OR completes can no longer be started and very hard to complete (even if you already have some signatures obtained).

If you're saying Mr Duncan's work wouldn't pass psa or Beckett but it has multiple times, why not give this guy credit? Is it hard to believe someone has the biggest collection? I want just facts. Does anyone here have proof none of his stuff passed psa?im asking as NEUTRAL in this. Sports is more mt forte

Matthew, I sent "Mr. Red Marker and Straight Bar" about 22 Certificates of Authenticities that were issued over the last 18 months by some of this countries largest authentication companies. Submitted were a variation of the differences in styles that were drawn to question on this site. Though this was expensive, though it took time, though there was no need to do this as I obtained these sigs myself as my website describes, Mr. RM & SB cannot bring himself to admit that his claim of "never be authenticated" was proved wrong. Not once, not twice, but 22 times!!

He has the certificates........

Steve and his collection were the cover story on our last issue of the print edition of Autograph magazine in 2010, so I wish that there were no authenticity concerns.

When someone first called out some of his collection, I didn't believe it. I was sure they were wrong. This is what I said at the time:

We ran a cover story in Autograph about Stephen Duncan and his in-person collecting in the June 2010 issue. I personally took photos for that story at his home and spoke to Steve and his wife about them, and we had them reviewed by at least one authenticator. Anything Steve said he got in person, I am confident that he did. I have never heard of it being questioned.

It's possible autographs he purchased might not be genuine. But what he said he got himself I'm confident that he did get himself.

Mathew, what caused your initial concerns about legitimacy as stated in your OP before anyone spoke? You said "...he's selling an 11x14 and I'm not sure if it's legit...".

Matt, even if some of his stuff passed PSA, JSA or whoever doesn't make them authentic. Neither of those authentication companies are very good at R&R autographs or even celebrity graphs. Myself I'd rather be sure. Paying for a sticker doesn't do it for me. I'd pay Roger 15 bucks for a quick opinion. He knows these sigs better then either of these companies.

Can we just call me matt lol? I hate Matthew. I don't think that thread bothers me. No two signatures look the same, and they do have similar characteristics, and that's a good sign. Roger epperson where you at?

+1 Steve! People here are giving their own educated opinion based on research specific to these graphs. It is what was asked for, but in the end it is yours (or anyones) decision if they want to purchase. There is a full thread that can be read to figure out the truth.
