Yeah, just called 3 locations, every manager there told me there is no possibility these have been released at any stores - the system will not even allow employees to scan out items for pick up if the date is indeed November 1st. One manager at the Yonge St location started laughing saying good luck, he ordered one and they have not even arrived at any locations yet - The FB post sounds suspicious AF

Similar here - At certain stores UPPER DECK Hockey card products have a release date of let's say 12/25/2022 - Even if they have the product, the scanner will not allow the employee to release the product. If this story was indeed true - there is no way (1) guy only would get a pick up notice. We would be seeing multiple orders having the same issue. Any Photoshop experts here? - I seriously think this is coming from Bob's camp to avoid the eBay listings.

I am, and can think of many ways this could be done, even outside of photoshop. This is why id love for someone to post any links for Facebook.

It's an elaborate Photoshop just to throw people off. Create a "bound by publisher" page, the red page on the left, the shade. It looks very real.

Of course it can be done, but it's more than what would be needed to start this discussion. Looks as too much effort to be fake.

I agree on that. The only other book I have that has a signed edition, "bound by the publisher", was the Born to Run signed Springsteen book that was given out at his book tour. And both books were from Simon and Schuster. I do agree that it looks very convincing to me.

My two bits here.  If you have a copy, no way would I let it go.  No way.  Here is why:

1. I live in Canada and Indigo / Chapters is fantastic with returns (with proof of purchase / receipt). No matter what the cost is.  Why not, at the very least, see what they look like when they come out?  If you don't believe me, call them.  This isn't Ozzy's site.

2. This image, wherever it is coming from, is not from Indigo.  I, in fact, did call them.  They haven't received them yet.

Which, then, unless the photo is from the publisher, isn't real.  It has been made up.

As many of you well know, many reputable music websites also use photoshopped / fake images of signatures when items go up for sale.  They do it even before they get the stock in and only do it to show what it will kinda look like when released.

So what's the risk in waiting?  I, for one, would be quite upset if I cancelled it prematurely.

My two cents.

Exactly.

FRIGGING AUTOPEN !!!

So Dolly autopenned her books at $325.

Wayne Gretzky did it too!

Looks like Bobby Dylan has done it for about $599 a pop.

...Glad I passed on this....OUCH !!!

Indigo actually charged 799, not 599.  And there is no proof yet about autopen.

I KNOW that, I'm in Canada...I was quoting the USA equivalent...about $599.

Indigo Canada had to refund tons of Dolly autopen, and Wayne Gretzky's latest book too.

Like I said...Ouch

What is the ouch? Either a signed Dylan book or a refund. I dont see any ouch here, just sour grapes maybe?

sour grapes? WTF ?? I was one of the first to see Dylan here and comment on the thread. I chose not to buy it based on my budget.

I was actually lucky enough to have met Dylan in 1990, and walked him off the stage and to his bus as Security here in Ontario Canada...no sour grapes, My pocket$ are just not deep!

I hope for the people that have bought here, that it all turns out okay, like it did for Ozzy when we all worried about that being an autopen...
