Good afternoon guys and gals, I have noticed that many members in here when ask for an opinion and the response is negative as to fake, a forge, not legit they sometimes get very upset and combative and try to debate and justify the flaws on their autographs.

I don't get if they need to argue why not just pay for a quick opinion and deal with the outcome.

Thanks

TC

You have to take it on the chin. This site got me out of a pickle thanks to members after buying a fake autograph. Some members its like water of a ducks back, its fake forged and the members are no its fine im not worried.

Steve just suspended a bloke Mr bliss because he was getting offended after asking for opinions when he obtained the signatures himself. He was just out to spoof people.

I don't get it Paul, if you buy the fake autograph then you are the victim don't you think so?

Sorry Bernie ,im using slang a little. Take it on the chin just means you have to deal with it.

I'd like to see more members who continue to post "Is this real?" threads to take the time to learn autographs on their own.

Many of us here have spent years (and I mean many years) studying autographs.  Learning autographs is an every day process.

Please take that into consideration when posting "is this real?" threads.

Isn't this site intended to help determine if something's real and talk autos?

When I look at something and deem it to be a forgery I do my best to let the owner down easy. I have seen some ridicule someone for buying an obvious forgery. I can understand why someone may be upset over this kind of situation. I myself paid for a forged Dark Side of the Moon I had the good fortune to have great teachers to show me what was wrong so next time I will be an informed buyer. This is what this site tries its best to be but being an open forum there are going to be Shi*Heads. Scott

Definitely you learn here that's for sure.

Yes you are a victim Bernie. I purchased one before I found this website it was a great learning experience for me.

I just want to help whenever I can. I think most of the time when there is a general consensus on a signature here the group is pretty darn accurate. I believe most autographs can be figured out but I also think there are some very good forgers out there that can fool us. In the Bliss case, the guy changed his name from Hugh for some reason then claimed couldn't remember getting stuff in person, but suddenly remembered when somebody gave an opinion? Also claimed he partied with many of the stars. Just be honest when coming on asking opinions.

bliss? who is she?

And yes, you guys are amazing, sometimes too hard but hey nobody forces you to be here.

So far I am happy.

"She" was Mr Bliss. All of Mr Bliss's posts are still here, but I wished him into the cornfield.

What if it really was a she-hee-hee? :)
