I think it requires larger, crisper images. And what happened to the top half of the L in Paul?
Steve, if you look closely at the Paul, it looks like a piece of the paper is missing. I think the signatures are fine as long as its not a copy.
Terrier,
I agree, part of the paper looks missing from Paul's "L" or it's covered with something.
The signatures do look very good.
Powerful piece. Looks like a seated Paul, the rest standing signatures, maybe one or two actually on the move, unsupported by a rigid surface. Everything looks right, nothing really stands out as implausible. Ink, paper, angles, starts, terminus', it's all there. I can't imagine even the best of Beatles authenticators turning this one down as a fake. All good in my opinion, a fantastic piece.
Carefully though. Removing old paper with ink from a frame, a mat, even separating the glass from the surface of the paper and ink, can cause lots of damage. If it appears at all stuck, have a pro separate it out for you. I've been there. Ink adhered to frame glass, leaving behind half the signature. Sometimes these pieces even have a coating of gloss that can make the whole piece stick like glue to its moorings. Always be aware when dislodging a piece from a mount of any kind that hasn't been done assembled super-professionally using inert, archival matterials.
You know your stuff, Woody.
Thankyou. Coming from "the Man", that's taken as quite a compliment! :) Sadly, separation damage is a subject I have extensive personal experience in. I bought a collection in mostly frames. They appeared to be unscathed. Normal. Until I started to remove them from frames, some of them obviously framed for up to a century or more. After leaving ink behind on glass, I took the whole load to a guy that knew what he was doing with archival matters and chemistry, and he did the trick. If I kept going, I would have been a disaster.
Thanks, Woody. There's no "the Man" here tho...it's "The Community!"
And it is effin' AMAZING!
