phenomenal! congrats on the awesome pickup!

Thanks Jason.  Much appreciated!

Very nice, and very decent of Patrick to do that.

Agree completely Ian.  Thank you.

Well, kinda pales in comparison to Christopher's new, awesome Pink Floyd pickup, but I finally have a chance to show off my latest addition, a genuine, circa 1945 cut autograph of Jackie Gleason. Printed and framed myself, it's not the most valuable item in my collection, but as a childhood fan of his, I was looking to add to an authentic signature to my collection for some time. Big thanks go out to our own Eric K Longo for all his wonderful assistance and unique knowledge in helping me to acquire this gem... now framed up and on display proudly in my office!

Cool.  Nice presentation as well.  Congrats.

Thanks, Christopher! It took me like a month to come up with a framing design I liked!

HOW SWEET IT IS!

What a presentation! A+++ Excellent job re staple removal.

"Gotta be 9 out of 10 Norton"

"I dunno Ralph, I think it might even be higher than that!"

Thank you for letting me help you Jason! One of the earliest Gleason's!!

Best,

       Eric

Thanks a TON, Eric, for everything! I was super particular when removing the slip of paper, of course, and the staple practically disintergrated the moment I touched it. There was hardly any paper left underneath holding it in place, it probably would have fallen off on its own if a feather had fallen on it.

I was able to secure it in the frame without any additional adhesive or anything touching the cut itself, so it's completely unaltered other than that. I had secured part of the discarded paper from one of the photo prints to the mat to keep in place and was ready to hang it, when the hole from the staple just kept jumping out at me because of the white paper behind it. So I undid it, slipped in a teeny slice from a brown paper bag, and voila! You can hardly see the hole anymore unless you stare right at it because of the new brown background behind it. And best part is that staple hole, although super duper close, still does not come in contact with the signature in any way. Wins all around!

Thanks again, SOOO happy to have this one up on the office wall!

Another nice one, they say he was a tough signer! The Honeymooners was a great show. Just about everything happened in that gray boring room but they kept you entertained. Not many actors today could pull that off!

Thanks a lot, Ian! As Eric can attest, most everything out there is secretarial, and even the forgeries can almost be slipped past the goalie sometimes. But the opportunity arose, and we jumped on it!

Sorry - I can't help it:

"$62.50 a week! $62.50 a week!"

"Alice, will you be quiet, I don't want my salary to leak out!"

"Your salary couldn't drip out..."
