What's the Scoop on Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators, a New Authentication Company?

Could it be real... as in they know what they are doing?

If authenticity is determined under such “Guarantee Resubmission” procedures to be found non-authentic, GFA shall pay the purchase price for the autograph in question or at the owner of the signature’s option to replace the signature with a GFA authenticated signature of the original signer of similar item and value. GFA will also refund the reauthentication fee and postage and insurance costs incurred by the signature owner in sending the signature to GFA. It is understood that GFA will replace the signature or refund the purchase price after reexamination and a verifiable receipt of price paid is supplied to GFA.

Of course, it would be nice to know what the procedures for determining non-authentic are..

Since it stands for Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators (GFA). and so long as we keep certain FDE's out of it - wouldn't it be nice.

Here's another Ebay seller (scored1) who knows ZERO about autographs selling forgeries of Mickey Mantle and Ted Williams.

This set of forgeries of Mickey Mantle and Ted Williams, listed by Ebay seller scored1, comes with a COA from GFA.

Forensically Examined!!! Yeah right!!!!

Read the usual "planted" tales of how it was impossible to contact GFA, that there was no phone number and how emails bounced back. I called the number listed on the site and then emailed them as well, within 24 hours I received a phone call Stephen Rocchi himself along with a follow up email. Why is it that everytime a new player in the autograph authentication field comes on the scene, especially ones that dare to use SCIENCE in their examinations (GFA has the audacity to GUARANTEE their findings!), fake blogs, reports and opinions appear to besmirch them. This is Stephen Rocchi, the "Daddy of authentication" so good luck with that. Thank you, Mr Rocchi, for coming along at a time when you are so desperately needed.

Ok, let's try a little experiment if you are so into science.

Select 10 GFA certed items and submit them to credible auction houses and or dealers for consignment. Be sure to remove the GFA sticker so the test is unbiased.

Let's see how many get accepted.
