WOULD LOVE TO GET SOME OPINIONS ON THIS AUTO PHOTO - MANTLE, DIMAGGIO, WILLIAMS

I would love to get some expert opinions on the authenticity of the signatures on this photo.

Thanks,

Keith

Mickey Mantle's Autograph was different at the beginning of his carrier than it was later in his life. The bottom Mickey Mantle autograph sample pictured above was authenticated by James Spence (JSA), and is signed on a baseball.

What's your point, Missing Link?

you are correct, except that the signature style in the lower photo was from the 50's.  He changed to what you call his "after retirement" signature style, and the one we are most familiar with, around 1960.  I have a 61 team signed ball (not a reunion ball) with a legitimate Mantle and Maris, and he had already changed to the  style in your top photo. I also had a 1960 team signed ball with the same style.  And that is the style that is forged on a regular basis.  as evidenced by the photo that started this link.

You continue to amaze me, Harry!

That is what is so odd - Mike Frost at one time actually knew what a Mantle signature was but of late PAAS COAs have come under scrutiny for being not authentic.  Then again, the missing link, might know based on the extensive research they are doing.   Or - Frost could simply come online and duke it out.

Yes,
Mr. DB what is the question you have for me and what scrutiny are you referring to now ? The reason I have never come online here is because of all the negative comments and lack of knowledge about the facts. There are AML members like Richard Simon, and Christopher Williams that are helping this site and the whole autograph community when it comes to the Mickey Mantle autograph situation. If you have a real question and honestly need some help or an answer to a question I can be available. I just do not have time for the duke it out part of your comment. I can help if you wish but I do not wish to fight at this time.

Missing Link, I appreciate your attempt at levity.  Sometimes it helps all of us to lighten up a bit during these type of discussions.

Again, your attempt at levity is appreciated by me.

Keith,

I hope you take the feedback you're getting here to heart. Knowingly selling a forgery as genuine is criminal in most cases.

This guy isn't a member a day and he already sells a forgery outside of ebay, and then tells us all about it. What in the world????????
