Good Morning!

I love this forum and all of the heartache is has prevented time and time again by the regulars here that I am hoping to here from about this Joe D. autograph which is being auctioned online today. I would consider myself an advanced novice at best, but there are a few examples on PSA's website that appear similar to this signature. Am i way off ? And if so, for the sake of always making this a teaching/learning experience, please explain what looks good/bad/ugly about the auto in question.  Thank you all as always for steering me in the right direction. You all are the best!

I never have to look past Joe. I think the two ggs are a little shaky, but other than that, I think it's fine.

not a fan of this one

Agree with Terrier, not a fan.  There are several areas of concern.

Steve, like what?

Hi Steve, thank you very much for your input. But if possible, Would you mind elaborating a bit on these several areas of concern? I find signature analysis and authentication very interesting and of course very helpful to call on in situations where I might not be so lucky as to have you and others from this forum to call on.

Aside from the obvious ggio, I am not a fan of the one in Joe.  Many forgers think DiMaggio signed to make the o look like an a, so it looks like Jae.  He specifically wrote an o, but many times it went down a little farther appearing as an a.  The forgers write it as an a.

I should have elaborated more, Robert! There are far more better examples out there, but I still think it's ok. There's some flow. The oe in Joe isn't quite clear. The ggs are shaky and a bit of a concern. This is just my opinion, and I also respect the other gentlemen's opinions as well.
