Hi. I would appreciate your opinion about this seller and the autographs that he recently sold. Please click on the link to see his sold autographs. What do you think?…Continue
I got him standing outside of Del Frisco's in NYC waiting for his entourage to finish smoking before dinner. Same building as Sirius radio, where I used to work. He was in a good mood and they were celebrating his not having to go to jail that day :). Hookers or not, he is the greatest outside linebacker of all time. He changed the way the game is played on defense and I am a huge Giant fan.
LOL @ Bill! There's no fighting at all. I just wanted to compare what I had with what others had and see the difference.
So true. We say it all the time. I have LT on a football and other items as well, that look nothing like the one I posted earlier. Got the football in person years ago and it has more of a Lawrence than the one now, but even the Taylor is different. They do not look alike but I know both are real, because both were signed in front of me. I think you said it best, when you simply stated that authenticating is a tough business and that's why so many mistakes get made.
Hard to say. Hopefully they keep a database of signatures from different points in time and note the changes. For what they charge, they certainly should.
I've talked to a PSA guy once, and I asked very politely why they have the set up the way they do, and here's what I was told: they don't want to listen to the story because they want to look at the item from the get go without any bias. If I handed you a John Travolta autograph and said, "Look what I got in the mail!" you would already have big giant blinking red flags!!! But if I handed it to you with no story behind it, no provinence, etc., you are more apt to look at it for what it is, how it looks, compared to real exemplars, and take it on face value alone without being influenced in any kind of way, therefore more able to make an honest, uninfluenced, judgement. And, yes, they do take into account that autographs change, and they have this "super computer" database that has all these different variations of the person's autograph whom they are trying to authenticate, so they go through each of them and find the one most similar, and go from there. The exemplars are dated by year, so if they ever need to ask the person when did this piece get signed, then they could go back and look at that time frame and see what the signer was doing with his/her autograph. I feel pretty confident about PSA's and JSA's processes. JSA told me the same process that I just described.
And Mike, I think Harry is focusing in on the crossing of the letter "L" in my autograph, and the crossing of the letter "T" in many of the autographs being shown in the Lawrence Taylor autograph discussion.
was wondering about a tom brady autograph
Can someone please give me there opinions on these ebay accounts. Hopefully I will get a response.
Upon doing ebay searches for autographs to add to my collection I am very upset when I search and find item after item that are gai and what do you know a lot of these sellers have a ton of quantity. Can someone check these account out and let me know what they think. |
Roy I cant agree more seller mvp-authentics has all private Listings also has changed his user name 7 times in 2 year's. He show's 3 tickets to a Rangers Tigers Game and Managed to get Miguel Cabrera to sign 11 separate Items along with 2 Detroit Tigers Team Jersey's and several Justin Verlander's. Most people are happy getting 1 of the very tough Verlander. All I can say is WOW. He also managed to get Nolan Ryan on several things and all The Texas Rangers. By the way the 3 proof picture's are all from Different times. Jose Valverde is about 30 pounds heavier than there proof picture from years ago. As far as Dirty_Water_INK it is crazy how this guy can get all these autographs and still find time to list Ebay amazes me. He also has private feedback and gets Tom Brady Derek Jeter and every college football player known to man. He must do a lot of Private Signing's because he manage's to get the 2 to 3 best players to sign his stuff.
I just checked out
