Everybody loves PSA/DNA!! all in all its seems to be a great service, and I can understand the need, but lately they seem to be making a lot of mistakes. Are they getting to big and a little sloppy at times? I don't know. I know they are only human, but I have friends that have had issues lately with them.

You want to pull your hair out when you had something signed in person and they say its not authentic. You want to get a hold of the athlete and have them call PSA and tell them they did sign it!! Ha Ha! I know that would never happen but you feel like you have been called a liar!

Most people are followers, not leaders! They just depend on the trend! If everyone else is using PSA/DNA they must be the best. Just like the stock market and real estate. If the news/media says its a bad idea to invest in the stock market most people will sell all their stock and get out. If a bank tells you that you can afford a million dollar house on you $50,000 income that that must be the thing to do. It's destroying this country and small business. I wish more people would step up and lead, not follow.

Dave, this really IS a fun hobby, so don't let it deter you. We're going through a very important period in autographs right now that I believe will lead to much safer and more enjoyable collecting.

We're in the middle of the Autograph Revolutionary War; a battle to the death to defeat the oppression of the forgery industry. We're winning the fight, and as we do, we're struggling to develop our own Constitution that will in time solve many of the authenticity conflicts that the legitimate hobby has been struggling with among themselves.

I think that PSA/DNA and JSA do an admirable job overall, but they are not perfect and will never be. If you don't see it signed, you have to make your decision on what's placed in front of you, and that sometimes leads to genuine autographs being declined, and visa versa.

It's also important to realize and remember that these services will decline autographs that they don't feel comfortable putting their seal on, even if they think they may be good. "May" isn't good enough. They have to feel confident in their decisions.
