Name: Albino

Surname: Luciani

Pope John Paul I (in Latin: Ioannes Paulus PP. I, born Albino Luciani; Canale d'Agordo, October 17, 1912 - Vatican City, September 28, 1978) was the 263rd bishop of Rome and Pope of the Catholic Church, 5th sovereign of the Vatican City State, together with the other titles proper to the Roman Pontiff.
He was elected on August 26, 1978 and his pontificate was among the shortest in the history of the Catholic Church: his death occurred only 33 days after his election to the throne of Peter. In 2017 he was declared venerable by Pope Francis. On 13 October 2021 the same pontiff authorized the promulgation of the decree sanctioning the miracle attributed to the intercession of John Paul I; this step brings him close to beatification, which will be celebrated on 4 September 2022 in St. Peter's Square.
He is remembered with the affectionate titles of Pope of the smile and Smile of God. Time and other Anglo-Saxon weeklies called him The September Pope, "The Pope of September". A museum has been dedicated to him, located in a seventeenth-century building next to the Pieve di Canale d'Agordo, his birthplace.
