I am buying these autographs today, but wanted to quickly ask your advice...both are certified.  I feel they are both good, especially with the paperwork from reputable companies, but they aren't…Continue

About Me

What kind of member are you? (Check as many as apply.)
Collector
What would you like to tell us about yourself, your collecting, or business.
I mainly collect athletes and musicians and love photos. I do not like getting anything small signed, and really enjoy getting a photo with the person as well.
What is your level of expertise?
Advanced Collector
What are your areas of interest?
Sports, Modern Hollywood and Stage, Music
Why do you collect?
I enjoy watching and being around successful people. I collect autographs for a number of reasons, but I must really enjoy the person and what they have accomplished. I have collected autographs for over half of my life. The internet has ruined the celebrities and athletes. They all want to be paid for an autograph now. I don't like wasting my time, so I don't try as much as I used to.
What is your favorite autograph in your collection?
One favorite autograph is tough, because there is a story with most autographs. If I had to choose one, I would have to say my Joe Montana 49ers mini helmet.
You can ask anyone living or dead for their autograph. Who would it be?
Martin Luther King Jr

Thank you for the greeting. I do not like to pay for any autographs typically. I am not opposed to paying for an autograph, but I would need to see the person sign it myself. The people that I would be interested in, shouldn't need the income, but you never know what their financial advisers have done to them!

Welcome to Autograph Magazine Live! Do you strictly collect people who sign for free, or do you buy some also? I think a mix is good. There are many celebs out of the limelight who need the money that signing autographs can bring. I think supporting them by paying a small fee for their autograph is away to say thanks. Ironically, like you've probably found out, many of them are the easiest to get free autographs from, even though they can really use the money.
