"Yes, I did write a LOA for the Beatles signed album that's discussed above. The LOA was written after the GHRR auction; meaning after the autographs were already authenticated by REAL and JSA. "

"OK, their rules say their BP is 20%, but add 3% if you pay by card. I haven't bought from them so I didn't know they added it upfront. "

"That would have had to have been some buyer's premium - ca. $100,000 by my reckoning - if the numbers 1-2-3-FAW quoted are correct. I doubt that an auction house would bother to adjust it's results for such type-of-payment or fast payment…"

a pug called eva replied to Alexander Bitar's discussion $146,000 for a Beatles signed photo!
"I don't think that exchange rates could be a factor as the auction was in US $ and payment would have to be made in that currency. Ultimately, $3,000 is neither here nor there in relation to ca. $150,000.  "

"You can only bid at Iconic in 10% increments so the top bidder didn't back out. It may have been sold to someone outside the US, and the difference in price was due to the dollar being worth less against that currency when payment was made,"
