I just saw that a signed debut Queen LP sold for just over $31,000 (incl. fees) at RR Auction last night. This was a record price for any signed Queen LP at RR. I wonder if the upcoming Freddie sales…Continue

I've never studied Prince's autograph before but, having looked at the very few "symbol autographs" that I've been able to find on the internet, I assume this is a fake. Nonetheless I'd be pleased if…Continue

"Yes, that's why I mentioned the Sotheby's items. To point out why I don't think they're a part of a trend of prices going up. They're in a league of their own in terms of hype, and most of that stuff (that is to say his…"

Ian Gillan: Sometimes it pays to walk the dogs!

Walking the dogs keeps you somewhat fit and can help you make new friends, at least where we live in Zurich. It can also bring more unusual benefits.Earlier this morning I was walking our three pugs when I did my usual quick scan of the books at our local book swap facility. People bring their unwanted books and other people pick them off the shelves for free. I happened to spot an Ian Gillan biography (Child In Time, 1993 first UK edition) in decent condition. I thought long and hard about…See More
