a pug called eva replied to a pug called eva's discussion Publicity portraits signed for Latin American magazines - mostly secretarial or not?
"Here are both sides of the two Rita Hayworth's I mentioned; I believe the first to be genuine and the second to be secretarial: 1) Gilda 1 a) Gilda reverse 2) Engstead 2 a) Engstead reverse I bought the Engstead knowing full well that the…"

"I still find the OP in white ink authentic. A secretarial would be legible. I don't think I recall secretarials at the CEAD."

"This discussion about these dedicated photos might actually be better served as a blog.   It seems it may be helpful to see some examples of these that have been on the market over the years and go from there.  "

Eric Keith Longo replied to a pug called eva's discussion Publicity portraits signed for Latin American magazines - mostly secretarial or not?
"That is not unlike saying 80% of 5x7 portraits from the '30's-40's are secretarial - but that also means 1 in 5 could well be genuine, so best to be careful."
