Bob Marley - could this be real?

Started this discussion. Last reply by Paul Dec 2, 2020. 2 Replies

This is on an Uprising tour poster. It doesn't match anything i've seen but is there a chance that it is a very rushed example or was signed on a non-flat surface? Although hard to see there are…Continue

Bob Marley signed Uprising LP - opinions welcome

Started this discussion. Last reply by Richard Booth Nov 26, 2020. 10 Replies

I had the good fortune of finding what I am pretty sure is a genuine new-to-the-market Bob Marley signed «Uprising» LP. According to the seller, who I have met and have no reason to doubt, the LP was…Continue

a pug called eva replied to Pauline Berry's discussion Authentic Paul McCartney without a doubt, worth?
"Hi Pauline, I'm confused by your listing. Is it just for the Elton John autograph or for the whole book(s) (minus Macca). If the Elton limo stub is on the back of the Macca (see your later post) I presume the Elton autograph is selling without…"

a pug called eva replied to Ricardo's discussion My best Macca...
"Thanks Ricardo. It would be better if you could post an image of the album into the thread using the second icon in the top tool bar. Any idea of date? As you've shown us your best Macca I'll show you my whopper from the '80s -…"

a pug called eva replied to Pauline Berry's discussion Authentic Paul McCartney without a doubt, worth?
"The McCartney autograph is obviously a bit rushed but looks great next to the limo driver pass. If the biggest names in the book are the ones you mentioned I wouldn't think the seller would get more than USD 1.5k for the whole book at auction…"

a pug called eva replied to Eric Keith Longo's discussion A Friendly Challenge - Which Joan Crawford SP do YOU Prefer? #1 or #2?
"I prefer the image in 2 as well as the signature. I know the image in 1 is from a more classic period but I've seen rather too many "alluring glance" type shots and the image in 2 is far more dramatic."

a pug called eva replied to Luke Iovenitti's discussion Learning From This (Beatles Forgeries)
"I have to congratulate you Luke for having the balls (excuse my French) to share your story and for being so articulate. I agree 100% that research is crucial but sometimes time is of the essence, there is too little information available. or you…"

a pug called eva replied to Etienne's discussion Buster Keaton - real or not?
"The placement is indeed odd but it has to be real. I have a Keaton but a much later one so I don't think it helps much here. "
Feb 7
a pug called eva replied to Etienne's discussion Buster Keaton - real or not?
"Got to be "right" surely? Without even looking at other exemplars I couldn't see this as being secretarial or a fake given the whole look of the piece. Are you sure that the name of the ship is in Keaton's hand and not…"

a pug called eva replied to Susanne DeKerk's discussion John Lennon Autograph
"Good spot re the ink blots. I think the OP looks less "drawn" than the Long but maybe the "same hand" look of the other three in the Long causes some bias. Strangely I only have one ink blot on my '64 Lennon:"

a pug called eva replied to Susanne DeKerk's discussion John Lennon Autograph
"It has a couple of Lennon's typicall "top-of-the-loop" ink blobs ("h" and "e") and is potentially OK but personally I wouldn't go for anything that gets such a mixed reception from other collectors. It looks…"

a pug called eva replied to Autographcontrol's discussion Bob Marley Opinions please...........
"Having spent a lot of time looking at Bob's autograph after buying a signed LP of his I would say that this one has potential but I personally wouldn't pay big money for it. If I saw it at a flea market for $300 and had to make an instant…"

a pug called eva replied to Marc Koenig's discussion Full set on E.M.I. Letterhead

a pug called eva replied to Jake's discussion Is This Judy Garland Authentic?

a pug called eva replied to Bruce Juice's discussion Lennon signed "Magical Mystery Tour" LP 6 days before his death
"If this item was actually authenticated by so many learned authorities it would take a brave man to say it was a fake but to me everything, apart perhaps for the date, looks a bit too carefully drafted. The sketch and date also seem rather large in…"
